Iran is in no way peaceful. They harass diplomats from tons of countries. They have a supreme sense of entitlement. Also while I have quite a few Muslim friends in middle eastern countries they are scared to speak out about any of the specific issues due to the fact that they HONESTLY believe that they will not live to see morning if they do.
I was recently having casual conversation with an Iranian citizen(no military or any other bias), and she said "Iran will never be defeated, every country is scared of us" as to which i replied(calmly) "not at all, we aren't scared of Iran. We simply don't want to waste lives dealing with the issue and would rather resolve our issues diplomatically." as to which she absolutely went on a rampage, insulting every country from the US to north korea.
They more invented modern warfare, along with Vietnam. Before that guerrilla tactics were much less proliferated, and it had been one of the first times they were used with modern(see sub machine guns) weapons.
So invented it? No. Changed the scope of warfare in general. Absolutely.
you still need a pc to have backups. my argument is still completely valid, You are an idiot for your sheer lack of reading comprehension. I said REPLACE.
Most people actually want a physical copy of said brochure being that it is a physical copy of something they might spend money on.
you can lock down a windows pc to the point that you can only access an intranet with no physical box access. comparing how much you can lock something down is fruitless.
also ipad is wireless thus susceptible to packet sniffers and OTA spoofing.
also a full network of ipads means most of them are leaving your network on a daily basis increasing chance for something to happen. not to mention the fact that being that they are all on the exact same hardware/software its made exponentially easier to attack from a network security perspective.
If i can counter every single argument that you put out without even using brainpower than your solution is no better than mine.
yes it is comparing apples to oranges but the fact is, you need a pc to even sync with said ipad. backups are crucial. fact of life.
It also is an infrastructure nightmare, you have to lock down all of those ipads to make sure some dolt doesnt download something stupid, give me a few hours with an exploit and your entire business would shut down completely.
this. you can prattle on about how useful an ipad is as a regular consumer, i dont give a crap.
you. can. not. replace. a. pc. with. an. ipad. IN ANY SORT OF ENTERPRISE IT ENVIRONMENT.
or engineering environment for that matter.
ask an engineer if they would prefer to run autocad through citrix or xensource as a VM(to oh you know, a pc.) on their ipad, or simply run it on their pc....wait never mind that STILL says you need a PC to be effective or at least a server which does not inculde a beowulf cluster of ipads.
if you put your financial information onto a portable, loseable and stealable device without a way to remotely wipe it, hint, you are doing it wrong.
when someone stole your horse(which fyi are worth around a factor of 10 times that of an iphone), which is a felony. you know THEFT OVER 5000, when it has historically become a felony.
OMG SO EVERYONE SHOULD GET IPADS INSTEAD OF PC's FOR WORK
that is what i see when i read your post....fact: ipad does not replace a pc. get this through your fanboy heads. its not a microsoft conspiracy either. I am a linux user.
"few hours on mods and tweaking said mods to run it at your computers potential" "mods to run it at your computers potential" "computers potential" "reading comprehension"
You obviously haven't played skyrim on pc. Its interface is completely borked from being a console port. You have to spend a few hours on mods and tweaking said mods to run it at your computers potential...and I have had friends who have only played it on 360 come over and say why does it look so much better on mine.....well after a few(see: about 10), hours of tweaking almost anything looks better on a pc. It is developer laziness, and corporate greed that are directly affecting the quality of PC releases.
The Boston Tea Party was a form of civil disobedience. It helped formed this country.
While I do not partake nor am a member of Anonymous, I do agree with their general premise, as well as the simple fact that quite frankly, nobody else is doing anything that is actually causing a stir and even making the public realize something is wrong.
If the US stays in this general direction for I would say max 50 years, there will be another revolution. All it is going to take is a few sparks, the politicians and corporations have already laid the groundwork.
To me it is almost sad how much this country has squandered away. There was a time when I was really proud to be an American, those times are now few and far between.
i said relatively. but the fact is, if there is a discount on something thats worth x thousands of dollars are you going to say no? if it ends up at a fiscal bonus to you, then of course not. of course you end up paying for it in tax dollars so its not exactly a discount. but whatever...you pay taxes for that no matter what you drive.
Agreed. However the fact is, is that none of that can compete as it stands currently, not only due to efficiency, but also do to people simply not liking gigantic turbines in their back lawn(as to which i can somewhat sympathize)...however until people allow that under socioeconomic norms i doubt its even possible for wind to become efficient.
Solar is just as inefficient. It is unfortunate, but accurate...no matter how much complaining people do, it simply is not a cost-effective alternative yet...keyword cost-effective. The power per dollar ratio just isnt high enough in the short-medium term for any true benefit, and in most cases the repair/general maintenance costs outweigh the long term gains.
gun toting...gay...athiest...libertarians....who also think abolishing the epa is a good thing.......altogether i think you might have found a group of maybe 10 people worldwide?
im gun toting. athiest...libertarian(to an extent). Definitely not Homosexual. And frankly as long as the epa doesnt dictate how i live, they can blather on all they want. If they want me to LIVE GREEN or GO GREEN...they better get enough government subsides and discounts to make it fiscally responsible to get said items. The fact is cheaper=better. And saving what 2% over a period of 30 years(looking at prius's and stuff), while looking like a total imbecile during said time..no thanks...I'll just take my BMW which gets just fine gas mileage...and doesn't have to go 30mph on the highway causing backups pushing smug not smog out of its tailpipe.
Yuppies can go green all they want...for the people who actually have to work for a living...I'll do what I normally do. Good job, Nice car, Normalcy.
get past the line "A group called Transception Incorporated, self-described as an Austin, Texas-based psychic R&D operation" without stopping and laughing uproariously then simply stop reading?
You would be surprised. google around. Specifically gun owners/people WITH cameras have been targeted.
Did I claim other countries do not? nice attempt at a troll however.

which is still a pc by term of generalization =p if your going to go to that level ill simply say "ibm compatible"

correct. on your PC. is this a personal pc we are talking about though? I thought this was for business.
You just proved my point.
It also is an infrastructure nightmare, you have to lock down all of those ipads to make sure some dolt doesnt download something stupid, give me a few hours with an exploit and your entire business would shut down completely.
dont have a backup due to no pc's?
that sucks.

it is known as double jeopardy...and it does not apply in the UK anymore...at least according to this(quick google search)
