  1. Re:Dear US of A on US Threatens Spain For Not Implementing SOPA-Like Law · · Score: 1

I don't understand why people blame "The US" dont blame us for our large population's relative idiocy. when you say "the US" you are blaming every single one of us. Personally I am an American and I feel as though our country would be better off sticking a bunch of homeless people in congress and the senate. I absolutely mean that...not to say they are less corruptable, but as it stands now I would trust a crackhead with my wallet more than a politician.

To give a good example I got some Politician sending me stuff in the mail(see: propaganda), and 90% of this 2 foot long bulletin he sent(in color and graphic design abound) was all a about the BUDGET and how we are so much in deficit. Then i noticed on the cover of this thing..in REALLY fine print..."The Design, Publishing, and Mailing of this was paid for by taxpayers." hmm...who are these taxpayers paying for this paper trying to get you re-elected....oh yeah...that would be me. So you are paying for all of this crap...with my money....I would love to see what he would say if i recommended him to pay for it himself...actually...I am going to call him now and tlak about it with him...or you know ill call his thousands of staff who will ignore the message...becuase he surely cant be bothered to answer his phone...the lobbyists pay him far too much for that.

if you are going into levels of inflation then obviously you are thinking about supply an demand and how badly the computer industry as a whole has been hit by this shortage...so logistically i would buy companies who's stock's plummet(to a certain percentage of course) and wait it out...same thing i do in a recession is buy all the downtown office space and sit on it...people will come back. and instead they will be paying me for it's usage. which yes takes time, but eventually turns a profit far more than the amount invested.

Actually it is not. i have done it multiple times, and made gaming companies around ~$10,000 from pirating games and telling friends about them. so they lose my copies...in total in the games i have touted that would have amounted to ~$500.....that's quite a large profit.

I have a few personal relationships with my IT Manager's and i can completely empathize with them on consumer apps being brought into a corporate workplace. Sony's stock fell over 10$ a share when they did not take scan their own software/hardware, and fell to a simple widely known sql injection. I personally don't know much about hacking or anything else. I consider myself a power user. That's as far as my general knowledge goes. However any board would CRUCIFY you, if by a decision you made to outsource to Bangalor, as you so eloquently put...Cost them 10$ a share in value due to IT.

Most professional video gamers i know(about 5 to be frank), are all health nuts. they stand by the fact that increased physical dexterity compliments mental dexterity. one of the 5 does parkour, at an almost professional level, the others lift weights for at least an hour a day.

I personally am usually in the top 10%(+/- 5%) of any video game i actually become interested in. I am in no way fat...I am not a complete health nut such as my friends, i drink sodas, i have a normal 9-5 job, i eat frozen foods, mcdonalds, etc, but i still am completely physically fit, and to be honest it puts you in a better place when you are gaming.

its more along the lines of they are losing more than are coming in. so slowly but surely they will start to notice the impact.

most players start playing because of other friends that play that started because other friends got them in. the same order works in reverse. when all of your friends are quitting you slowly lose interest in the game, being that it relies on social interaction.

i am a release player myself, know we are the relative minority.however as they say shit rolls downhill. and people that have been around the longest know the most people.

WoW is going seriously downhill, the developers are making horrible decisions, I cancelled my account and havent gone anywhere near looking back. to be honest when guild wars 2 comes out I along with many others, specifically PvPers will be moving to it.

A lot of people have lost faith in blizzards ability to balance recently, sorry to say but soon there will be a new MMO king, and I do not think it will be made by Blizzard.

This of course does not count Blizzard's new MMO that is coming out, That might have a chance to topple the replacement for WoW. Of course any replacement probably will be short lived or niche being that blizzard has the marketing capability to move people to it's next big MMO, however after watching how they have squandered away WoW I personally will probably not be moving to it.

Blizzards main strength are its casual players who play because friends do. at this point however people still look up to the Elitist people, most of which 2400+ arena players or progressive PvE guilds, all of which are really searching for something new, myself included.
