Well obviously your a fanboy. I am not saying R&C is bad, I think it's fantastic but Corruption outshines alot of games released in 07, including Assassins Creed, Halo 3 and the Orange Box.
Games that outshine Prime 3? COD4, BioShock, Mario Galaxy & Crysis.

Despite R&C being brilliant, I list Prime 3 as the 5th best game released this year.

The PS3 has too few exclusives at the moment, Motorstorm and Resistance both got old very quick and the above mentioned Rachet and Clank is currnetly the best exclusive on the system, do you want to give it GOTY or something?

The titles that seem poised to save the system are going to be MSG4, FFXIII & LittleBigPlanet and God of War III. With the 360 having so much more exclusives and the Wii being the success story it is, maybe even those above titles wont get it finishing 1st.

Its a much tighter race this time around, each of the 3 need to pull out all the stops if they want to be the market leader. Rachet & Clank will be a blip on the radar in the big scheme of things.

    Back to topic on hand.

Products like the gPC, XO & EEE have turned out to be pretty hot products on the market, kind of like the Wii, its less powerful, simpler, cheaper and people are going for it because they do the job and do it well. Most consumers dont care about having the latest grunt, they want something that works and Microsoft licensing is still substansially more expensive that in these low price situations XP or Vista licensing makes it a large fraction more expensive

Looks like 2007 could be the year of the Linux desktop after all. The Asus modified Xandros is simple to use and works well, gOS makes the perfect internet cafe setup, I have yet to try the XO yet but despite not making the $100 price point, still insanley cheap.

Here in Australia the Asus eeePC is sold out and are awaiting the arrival of the gPC. These machines are hot items atm.

Here are some titles that I would consider on the same level as when I was playing games at age 6 (and yes I was able to clock Super Mario Bros at age 6, Zelda at age 8)
All these games I already own (except Nintendogs) and have had young cousins play

    New Super Mario Bros
    Super Princess Peach
    Mario Kart DS
    Diddy Kong Racing
    Elite Beat Agents
Sonic Rush Adventure (first one may be too difficult for a young one)

When your kid gains some reading ability the following would be suitable Cooking Mama
    Animal Crossing
    Pokemon Diamond & Pearl

I dont really know todays education standards compared to the late 80's but I in the 3rd grade (age 8) I was able to read the The Hobbit with little difficulty.

Totally agree. I personally think there are some industries where monopolies should be illegal, iTunes isn't one of them. They are where they are because people like the design of the iPod (hip looking) and good advertising.

The OS market is one such that may be OK in a near monopoly market, the problem is Microsoft abuses it. Google does not abuse its near monopoly in the search area, it just has the best major search engine out there compared to Live Search, Yahoo and the like.

One area where I am against monopoly is infastructure. I personally think that infastructure (specificly communications) should be more of a govt service, AT&T have not had a good rap and more recently Comcast, here in Australia, Telstra has been terrible which has resulted in the new Rudd govt to make plans to build a brand new open FttN network that could seriously undercut Telstra's current monopoly status
