I have my laptop with me all the time as well (Uni Student) and I barely ever reboot, I hibernate a lot... but barely ever reboot... why all the rebooting.
Also who wants to bet that even though it is a slower boot then Ubuntu that it is considerably faster than Windows...
The Virtual Desktop Manager Windows Powertoy works alright, still not as nice as the Linux one, and it does use a little more resources than I would like, but that is MS is it not?
Yes, I agree, but Devs continue to make "throwback" games and sequels because that is what all gets bought mostly, nothing new ever goes anywhere anymore becasue the gaming demographic has aged and all you old fuckers hate change. Don't deny it old guys (and gals) you will just be lieing to us an yourselves. (And if you don't believe me, how many SF games have come out over the years? yes thats right, to fucking many)
But... I have a creative... I hate the iPod... I can't put iMusic on my Creative, so that would totally be a shit kicker to all us non iPod users. And contrary to popular belief there are quite a large population of us.
it is a "magic" but it is based on physics. One can harden something so it cannot break, but it is by "ordering" the atoms. One can change the weather, but it does affect the weather all over the world. So with the invisibilty, physics says that without light, one cannot see, so how can one be invisibly by bending the light around them, and still see? they cannot...
That is one thing I love about the Recluce saga by Modesitt Jr. When he has a character go invisible by using the "Order/Chaos magic" of the world, they cannot see... such realism keeps me coming back even though it is in something like the 13th or 14th book! If you haven't read anything by this Author, I highly, highly, recoomend it.
OK... I have an example though... a couple winters ago there is a bad curve near where I live, I had a friend slide on it in his Grand Cherokee going probably about 80km/h and hit the telephone pole on the driver side, the engine was pushed about a quarterway into the passenger foot well but he was otherwise fine. Another guy, driving the same corner a couple weeks later slid, hit the pole in a Neon and on the driver side, and the engine ended up in passenger seat, that would have killed a passenger if there was one. The driver said he was also going about 80km/h. And just so you know, the speed limit is 50km/h and the corner has 30km/h signs.
So how come this was the opposite of what you said?
See, and here I meant more of a sliding on ice (4WD does indeed help... ever switched to it in mid slide... you regain control significantly faster, also see 2WD V. 4WD in high snow... guess what works better... yes that is correct, a higher standing 4WD,) and if you can't regain control and slide off the road, hitting a tree/lightpost will not be as bad as in a little AWD car. Also the clearance is quite helpful when getting "plowed into" parking spots or if you happen to go into a snow pile that is 3 foot tall).
While I agree SUVs are bad, Here in Canada, people like them (my mom and also my aunt for example) because in the winter when the weather is bad the ground clearance and 4WD makes them feel more secure when driving by themselves to and from work.
but what about emailing said research to yourself to save the trees? (also who wants to lug paper around, such a waste of energy... and money considering printing is usually 10 cents/page)
the GP sounds as if he is from Canada, like me, and we don't get it standard on Cable. I had it on my Satellite dish, and when TechTV was switched, I kept G4 for something like 4 months, hated the shit out of it and then got it taken off of my subscribe to list.
Hmm... And I thought Sarge was fairly easy to install on my machine... Even my ATI card worked, much to my pleasure when everyone says they can't get them working with Linux...
I think you mean, "Are those GB 1000 or 1024 MB? And are those MB 1000 or 1024 KB? And are those KB 1000 or 1024 B? etc.

I am using Debian etch x64 (testing release) and before that it was sarge x64 (stable release)
Shouldn't they make it compatible with *nix then? Last time I remember thinking about Flash it didn't work... if it does now, please let me know.

Once again another useless Zonk Post...
If by suicide watch you mean sit there with some popcorn and watch him commit it while munching and laughing...

FTFA The DS Lite has already sold 2.34 million units in two months in Japan
Hope that helps this time...

Yes, the "upgrade path" leads to a smaller price then the non upgrade (if you have anythign WIN2000 or a non MS product)

Yes, but does it run Linux?!
I actually think the Mathematical Equations would help me qreatly in understanding it. Please do not assume about that which you do not know.

What version/How much do you want for said LifeDrive?
OK, but why can we NOT have both in the universe... that is what I don't understand...
But the meaning of life is 110110.
