Meanwhile, Safari has its updates managed through Apple Software Updater, and Firefox has a role-your-own. Either way, both just get updated for me... there's really no "effort" at all.

WoW on the Mac has always been multi-threaded also. Just now the OpenGL part is multithreaded. As far as I'm aware, no one has gotten Multithreaded OpenGL working on the PC... well, ok, ID had it working with Quake3 in certain very specific cases, but overall, multithreaded rendering processes are by far in the minority, and I'm pretty sure that WoW falls into this category.
I had a friend playing Silent Hunter, it was a German one, and when he put the boat into full speed ahead, they were saying "Wahnsinnige fortfahr aus!" I really had to listen to it a few times just to be sure. Then I confidently told him that one of the possible translations of that was "ludicrous speed".
He also got a kick out of "periscope" being literally "see-pipe" in German.
I honestly must agree with this. People are starting to complain about the new bulk and bloat put into FireFox, and then other people turn around and complain about the simplicity in Safari...
I have both Firefox, and Camino available on my Mac, at the simple press of CMD+Space, then type "fire" or "cami" respectively. However, I still use Safari. Why? Because Safari does just about everything I need. Why do I have FF and Camino available? Well, one of my banks doesn't think that I should be able to use Safari with their webpage, so I keep FF around. Also, MSN Passport likes to store a "universal" cookie, and since I have two accounts, I keep two different browsers open to keep them open. Same issue with Google Mail, if I turn on the "remember me" button, then it's quite hard to get two different windows to be setup for different gmail accounts.
Basically, I keep FF and Camino around just to have another browser as a fall back. Safari does what I need... it surfs the net. I don't need a text editor with a web-browser, and I don't need a web-browser with all the features of FF.

They're not trying to prevent some sort of drastic change to the social fabric, they're trying to induce a drastic change. They are, by many objective definitions, actually quite radical. (Of course, they tend not to think so -- they prefer to think of themselves as trying to take the country back to some 1950s idyll that never existed outside their own imaginations.)
On another note, as a girl with a relatively large finger ratio (that is to say, a very long index as opposed to ring finger), I should have poor verbal and math skills. I don't have a problem with either. Just remember that this like many other finger ratio related things are merely tendency, and not stead-fast.

Just like Senator John McCain, I can't imagine that anyone would actually be listening to this guy... sure some of his views are admirable, but not all of them... in my opinion, this guy is an extremist, and doesn't carry a chance in hell of actually getting elected.
