I call BS. Net Neutrality is about packet privatization at the ISP or line carrier level. That has exactly nothing to do with a *free* IM service provider scanning the content that passes through *their* servers and looking for things. You agreed to their TOS, which although IANAL probably allows this sort of thing.
Net Neutrality is about Telcos (ISPs and Line Carriers) slowing down or stopping time-sensitive packets (VOIP, music, IPTV etc.) going to or from a competitor that happens to use their lines or because you use their ISP service. How you managed to draw a logical connection between that and Yahoo! (who's inbound packets were already received from the Telco!) denying services to you I don't know. Maybe you meant that this is what telcos might try to do, but that's not what network neutrality is about. Net neutrality is about packet prioritization, not about packet reconstruction, analysis and modification before it reaches it's intended recipient. Not even Telcos are that retarded.
I hate the telco SOBs as much as anyone here, but this is tripe.
Yes. That's the point of an RC. RC builds are candidates for release and as such are Feature Complete. If any show-stoppers are found then they fix them and release another RC build. If, after a reasonable amount of time, no more show-stoppers are found then the RC is retagged and reversioned as the final build and subsequently published.
Release Candidates are supposed to be fit for release, if they aren't then changes are made to make them fit for release. Hence the term "feature complete" (depending on the project or manufacturer, some people consider betas to be feature complete or near-feature complete, where as Alphas are still in product and functional development) Once they are ready, they go "gold," that is the "gold master" media images are created and the product is manufactured for general popular consumption.
Yeah. Right. Neither is Debian, or Gentoo, but the default users that the "installers" provide are non-privelged ones. Unless you are added by root to the wheel group (in Gentoo anyway) you can't even elevate your privileges or suid root, even if you did suid root you'd need the root password on top of your own. Any good operating system will not automatically make user #1 root. It's that simple. Only sysadmins are root, and only for brief periods of time.
That's bad, actually. If you thought for yourself, and came to the "left-wing" conclusion, yet are still open-minded about other points of view (yes, their are closed minded left wingers) and are willing to discuss it with other open-minded types, then good one you. But if you subscribe to someone else's point of view because they told you to, without thinking really hard about it, then you need to go back to the drawing board.
England, you fool. You know, the place where all the guys in the funny hats and white wigs invented, well, uhh...English. Now, any Brits here want to say the obligatory "Damn Yanks?"

...so amazingly primitive that you still think digital watches are a pretty neat idea.
You wouldn't be saying that if it came from big business, big oil etc...
Need they say more?
You're new to this planet aren't you? :)
No, really, that is good logic! I mean, after attorney's fees they'll have about 6,587 dollars and 86 cents!
Note to self: avoid HL2, too many old folks. ;)
Yes and all wars ever are going to magically disappear when we erase the DoD. I'd love a toke or two on whatever you're smoking.
