    But Mac apps, on average, are more thoughtfully designed and crafted than their equivalents on PCs.

    You can get 1000 commercial pressed CDs, insert printed, and shrink-wrapped for under a grand. And a nice package, too.

    Recording is fairly inexpensive, too. And at a studio, not at your mom's basement on your dad's computer.

    Album budgets are out of whack in the majors. There's no need for a band to spend over fucking month in a studio writing the album. That's what practice spaces are for, and they cost less than a day's time in a decent studio.

    This confuses me, as their are many bands/musicians on major labels that would define themselves as "indie". That also confuses me.
