There isn't (well not a normal desktop). There is a tutorial about Metro when you first log in.
I was hugely skeptical about 8 and installed it on a spare machine the wife will be using. I have probably put about 5 hours in of just playing around and to be honest it is surprisingly easy to get used to and not bad to work with. The Windows key is definitely your friend. I was thinking you would need touch as well before but it works fine without. There is still a couple areas where I question but I wouldn't necessarily reimage a machine back to 7 if it had 8 at this point.
Not if you know how to slipstream a cd. Remember Microsoft only brings out a new version of an OS every couple years and will slip a service pack in once in a while. Linux is updating their install media every other week. Microsoft recognized this a long time ago and gave people the ability to slipstream drivers and patches into the install media so you don't have the issue of finding drivers for newer products.
Yep Serial number is engrained in it. And they can track who actually has it by the IP of the host machine when it connects to iTunes. Idiot buys new hardware nowadays. If people track the serial numbers of your hardware and report it to them they can disable it and potentially find it. Guaranteed they will be this time.
Seriously, the idea behind a museum is to allow people to see things but at the same time to preserve them. A carrier deck is not exactly the best place for it.
I can think of at least 1 advantage of Hyper-V. Licensing. From what I recall MS will allow a certain number of OS installs with the same key if you are doing it on Hyper-V. I don't know if they nixed that as I am too lazy to look it up.
However, I have to build a virtual environment at home and will be using VMWare to do it. Mostly because of familiarity and I have enough licenses.
We have 3 Microsoft guys in our office. Overheard one mentioning there is 1 vendor bringing out a new laptop with touch and that it is practically impossible that touch will replace mouse on desktop.
Personally I think they should have just brought out a Windows store app for 7 and left it at that. Tablets and phones are fine with Metro but on a desktop it is retarded. However the ability to boot a.wim file as your system drive is slick.
X2 I have the RTM since they released it (a month ago?) on one of my older laptops as a test. It's slow (not as slow as I expected) but it runs 8. With 7 it would shut off from heat when running youtube
Ontario is the same. You are mandated by law until16. I don't think it should be forced over that age however I do think you are a shallow idiot that is too concerned about how you look with this cage sitting on your head if you don't wear one. Granted the situation of it saving your life is slim however they still happen.
I will give you the stamps as an example but the Fallen Astronaut copies was the artist trying to profit. The astronauts didn't want any of it. They tried to keep it all quiet.
Yep and I think most of the reasoning behind not allowing people to use "electronic devices" is to basically make sure when the shit hits the fan that no one can't hear the steward(ess) telling people to kiss their butts goodbye. I think when you get down to it that is the real reason but they throw up the EMI boogieman because Joe Q Public would ignore requests not to have their device off otherwise.
The reactivation needed specific hardware (or minimum number of hardware changes) to be triggered. Usually a new hard drive would not trigger it, however a new hard drive, memory, etc would or if a disk controller or motherboard would. I had it go off when I did a reinstall and forgot to install the secondary controller I had. Quick call to MS got it reactivated.
Go back far enough and guarantee they were back in the good old days of switchboards. I have no issue with them monitoring or recording calls either. It's a workplace not a clubhouse.
It isn't your equipment nor your house, if you have something you don't want them to know do it at home.
Back then you could get fired for using their phone lines for personal use. Look they have basically said that if you use our equipment don't expect privacy. Everyone brings up banking as an example. If you don't want to risk them getting access to your online banking passwords most banks do have banking options over the phone otherwise suck it up buttercup.
You're right there is a problem you are using company hardware for personal use. They have to give you a lunch break, They don't have to give you Internet access for personal use. As long as they warn you of what they are doing there is no issue in my opinion
I see where the GP was going. It's better to ask more complex questions where it tests the person understands concepts than that they can memorize. Problem is that it means the grader has to do more work when grading
Citation please? Serious question though as I don't recall that.
That can be handy

That plus I know someone who saw it happen. Trust me he doesn't work for any US govt org.

Need coffee

Knew this years ago

Otherwise why was ground crew supposedly affected as well? I remember reading something about that (can't remember where)
^^He's right, my greyhound raced a whole month (9 times mind you) and she has been retired since. I don't think she went to space either.
I have a 7" playbook (price was right) and to be honest I would like to stay at 7". It is so much more convenient to carry than a 10".
As someone who picked up a really cheap playbook I have experienced their Android App Compatibility and can say that won't save them.

Just remember this is the evolution of a bill from the liberal days. Shows that there is very little difference between the two parties
