In the big picture, what he said wasn't all that bad. In bad taste, Insensitive? Sure, If you want. But the uproar following it is simply people stamping their feet for no other reason than they can.

compare that with the lowest human being and work your way up through the human being scale (if the chimp is better then the lowest human beings we have) until we find a type of human (most likely suffering some form of mental retardation) that is comparable with your average chimp. Then assign chimps the same rights as that human being has.
Can't we just give retards `chimp rights' instead?

How would you feel about getting a speeding ticket for a car that you didn't own and wasn't driving?
I would probably feel as though the state of my heath shouldn't be a factor... Which was kinda the point i was making.

The title might as well be "RIAA sues man in blue trousers in Michigan", It's about as relevant. Though it doesn't have the "victim factor" like being a stroke victim has.

So even if i never watch (or want to watch) BBC shows i have to pay for the "subscription" simply because i own a device capable of receiving it. Sounds fair. I can't wait until Microsoft use the same logic and force me to buy a windows licence for using my PC running Linux, Simply because my PC is capable of running windows. The licence fee is the reason i threw my TV away. I still get the Capita Nazis (people who enforce the licence fee) knocking at my door asking of i have a TV licence, Then when i tell them i don't have one because i don't have a TV they ask if they can come in and check if i have a TV. At which point i simultaneously close the door while saying "no you can't, Now fuck off".

  19. Factors on A Bad Month for Firefox · · Score: 1

Firefox is a great browser, But it's written in regular code by regular humans.
We shouldn't expect it to be perfect.
