Yep, many MB's will let you hot swap. I have an Nforce4 MB with 2 300GB SataII drives in a mirror, running win2003 (yes legitimately, Microsoft Partner Program is a GOOD thing). Anyhoo, one of the drives up and died, so i had to swap it out. They weren't in hot swap bays. Don't panic, no problem. With sata the power connector was designed to be HS, if you look there are 3 contacts on it that are longer than the others, they are the ground pins. Pull the power, pull the data(since the drive is dead anyway, you arent losing any data) then just be careful with a *non-conductive* screwdriver;)
I have cogeco cable here in canada, and NONE of the channels, regular, HD or PPV/Premium have the Record-blocking Flag enabled. Also, for the record the Motorola DCT-6412 I have has 2 firewire ports and I assure you i can use both to record to 2 different computers at the same time.
You're Kidding right? Chances are anyone who wants a 360 already had highspeed, and if not, they need to come out of the 90's. (and even that is a bad example, i had DSL from at least '95 on) Nevermind the fact that not everyone forces you to sign a contract, tho if that is how it is for you wherever you are I pity you.

Not completely related, since its not a laptop but a company I do consulting work for have a 3com 16 port switch, that when first purchased sat on a desk in the "server room" (read beside a photocopier in a closet). Well we finally upgraded to a rack mount for their servers and i went to mount it on the rack only to find.................no brackets. Having owned this for about 4 or 5 years, I figured that best case I might find some generic parts, worst case, I get out the dremel and start hacking at a metal plate to make my own. Turns out 3com still had the part number listed for the bracket mount on their support page, and so I called them. The rep I got was super nice (at 5 to 5pm on a Friday afternoon no less), i gave her the part number for the switch, she confirmed the bracket sku, and asked for a mailing address. I gave it to her and asked how much for shipping and the part. Nothing. Not for the part or the shipping, and it was next day UPS to Canada. Doing a quick google for the policy on 3com's website, I got this:
So not only was everything free, and fast, but the warranty is more like a suggestion guide to the reps. FYI I even flat out stated, "I lost my rack mounts when we moved the office to another building a year and a half ago, can I even order just the mounts?"
nevermind the fact that a significant portion of the PS3's are still boxed up, and being sold on ebay for the the christmas rapefest. Then you have to reduce the number of users further since * not everyone plays FPS games *......... i know, i know, its a scary thought but some people might have purchased the PS3 for other games.:|
