nah, don't think so, there are more than enough people who want to own a disk and not having to download a movie.. besides, if there's more HD content being sent over the internet, it will only start coming to a crawl..
LOL. it shows that you cannot rely on the americans.. hihi... We europeans are so much better;) (just kidding, ofcourse this could have happened to any scientist, american or european)..
but the students send their 'prose' to that company to check for plagiarism, and I can imagine that in the agreement there is a notion that their 'prose' will be added to the database. So in agreeing you give permission to use it in the database..
The current normal Dyson vacuumcleaners are already quite expensive, and the DC06 is much to big (height) for automatically cleaning. Unless the Dyson version is better at cleaning and around the same price it can win, but looking at any dyson cleaner out there now it will be at least 3 times as expensive, and that's too much for most people..
BTW the robotcleaners don't compare to a regular vacuumcleaner in doing a good job, sadly.. So I hope the next batch will be more intelligent and much better cleaners..
WTF? I've got more than 4000 retail dvd's and never had any need to rip it.. With HD it would be even less, as why would you need to rip it? watching a movie on an ipod of psp is so not done, why would you want to watch a movie on such a small screen where you can hardly follow the movie.. And appearantly you can rip BR movies now already..
Yeah ofcourse the wii is constantly sold out, as only 2 units are shipped to one store each week (well according to 2 persons I know who also works in 2 different stores).. Ofcourse this is nice for stories to say that the wii is constantly sold out, but if only 2 units of PS3's or xbox360's where delivered to 1 store each week, those consoles would also be sold out constantly..
Well, it's got everything to do with the actual worth of the dollar in China.. a Big mac also costs much less in China as it would cost in the states.. but for a citizen of china $7.50 is +/- the same worth as $19 is to an US citizen (or with that I mean, if you earn $100 an hour, the same china'man' earns $33, so an apple costs $3 in the states, it costs $1 in china)..
But you're propably from the states, and like many americans (especially the government) you have problems with knowing anything outside the states (unless you invaded the country and it was shown on CNN)..
This ofcourse is great news, another clean-car.. Only problem for me with most of these so called clean-cars is that they are so ugly and I wouldn't be caught dead in one of them.. Now if they could convert my Jeep cherokee '96 to a clean-car I would do it immediatly (I'm already running it on LPG which ofcourse is a bit more clean than running it on petrol or diesel)..
Well, reading a lot of the responses I can say that moral has hit an all new low..
Why do people always bitch about RIAA even though they know that downloading/sharing music/movies without paying is just plain criminal..
How would you like it if you made a movie or music and everybody is just copying it without you getting anything for in return.. It would be like going to work, but not getting payed..
If you think the record/movie-industrie is putting out trash, then don't buy it, if you think they are asking outrageous sums of money for it, then don't buy it. but don't go listening/watching it illegally.. Movies and Music is still a luxuryproduct.. Don't go around trying to think up excuses for your illegal/immoral behaviour..
You don't go out stealing a car because you think it's too expensive to buy. And because it's easy to get a movie/music illegal doesn't make it right..
Also in my experience (as having been a student myself) students have enough money to go buy music/movies, but they rather spend it on drugs, alcohol and parties..
So don't go bitching about RIAA/MPAA/whatever who only try to protect what is legally theirs (or at least their clients).. And since the 'customer' doesn't give a rat's ass about how they get their stuff, the RIAA/MPAA have to resort to these kind of methods.. Remember it's the customer him/herself who is responsible for the whole problem, not the companies, they only try to get their investments back (and hee, it's business not a charity)..
Well, robots.txt has no legal meanings whatsoever.. So if you have robots.txt a websearch can just ignore it if it wants.. It would propably be better to use robots.txt to let a websearch search your site.. because that way you must do something for a websearch to go through your site (just like you had to do in the beginning, you had to add you site to some websearchers...)
Well, I'm for Viacom as I think the creator/publisher of the content should decide what can be viewed on youtube (or any other public videosite). If it's your content that is shown on those sites and you didn't give permission then it would be wrong for any judge to say it's ok, because that means that as a contentcreator you can kiss your investments goodbye.. and ofcourse it would make way for just ripping a dvd an putting it up on youtube with no problems, because the same verdict would mean it's ok to publish copyrighted content without consent from the creator... (the ammount that is asked by Viacom is another story)
It's funny how people always claim that this is impossible because of some theory by some scientists..
Scientists used to think the earth was flat: wrong..
Scientists used to think the atom was the smallest thing: wrong..
And there are many examples where scientists where wrong...
So because it can't be explained with current theories, it doesn't mean it isn't real..
Some people think the formats are really open.. but because many of those so called opensource formats haven't been checked to see if it really is patentfree.. And I bet my money that a lot of formats think they are patentfree, but in fact aren't... ofcourse patentfree formats are the way to go...
It is the US that said that it will destroy any attempts on militairisation of space by any other country, so who the hell are they to claim space for themselves?
It's the US that is even replacing older Nukes with newer better nukes (yes they are replacing the older ones with less newer ones, but the newer ones are much more powerfull than the older ones, so in a way they are expanding and not reducing)..
That is utter bullshit... Piracy was already triving before DRM was introduced... Most people who buy DRM based stuff won't have any problems with it... It's the bitching nerds who keep screaming and trying to defend their actions, but it wouldn't matter if it hadn't DRM, because they would even copy it more as it's much easier to copy non-DRM stuff...
I'm think this guy is in his own right, You steal something from him so he takes measures...
We do it a little less destructive, we only block the data of the program after a while of use, so no other program's are affected only the data you created with our program (and let me tell you that you won't like it as it's very important data, hehe)
Because of the internet it's so easy to find hack/cracks and serialz that it's becomming harder and harder to protect your software from being 'stolen'.. So by using these kind of measures you will be more carefull in downloading illegal programs/serials..
the change in the behaviour of the program files folder... That was one of the biggest FU they done.. It's so illogical as installing a program in any other folder as 'program files' fixes the whole problem, and therefore rendering the whole program files protection useless..
The biggest problem is that anything that is written after installation to the program files will be redirected to the specific users path, which means logging in as another user misses all the data (and if programs have their own updateprograms, the latest versions).. I wonder which moron ever came up with this.. The biggest problem also is that most softwaredevelopers never knew about this, at the last MS meeting in november I heard so many mumbling in the room when this 'feature' was told that the speaker had to calm everybody down..
We tell our customers, just nog to install it in the program files folder, and then everything works great (except for everytime that annoying message when starting the program)..
Well, I'm not really up to the whole.NET affair and Mono, but if Mono can run.NET applications, what is so specific about VB then? since VB.NET generates a.NET application... So if Mono is really.NET it should also run VB.NET created applications...
Or am I missing something?
and to anyone who says: Why use VB in the first place why not C#, a question back: Why use C# and not VB? with the whole.NET stuff there shouldn't be any difference...
Just to answer the question from my point of view: Because IMHO the VB syntax is much cleaner as C#. because you like C(#) doesn't mean otherpeople think the same, that's why there are so many languages out there...
This is just some bull story.. The raid ofcourse could be real, (and I certainly aprove of the swat method, since there are enough stories about violent hiphop artists), but the story about RIAA having hired them is ofcourse pure bull...
hmmm.. you must be doing something wrong since I also have a card that doesn't have shader 2, and I have yet to find a PC game that doesn't work on my old card..
3DO tried it, and painfully failed....
So in the end it did cost a lot more money than it saved.... typically...
nah, don't think so, there are more than enough people who want to own a disk and not having to download a movie.. besides, if there's more HD content being sent over the internet, it will only start coming to a crawl..
