No, just pass it by because you want more apps to work straight away, without the need for emulating something... and ofcourse you shouldn't be a sheep and follow what some people think is cool...
It wouldn't be a bad thing to stop the show when it still is very succesfull.. We've seen so many series go down the drain because they just couldn't stop, hmmm come to think about it, about every show on the telly now is just pretty boring because they milked it just too much..
Just pick up the show again in 5 or 6 years or even a decade...
From your comment it's not clear (to me) if you mean about america attacking china or china attacking america...
But America is the country with the biggest debt to the rest of the world, not the other way around... But that's something a lot of american's don't know... It would be fun to see the worldbank demand america to reduce the debt, because they can't...
at least you can give lucas credit for continuing his streak of creating junk.... the original trilogy is still unsurpassed (I guess it has something to do with him not directing ESB and ROTJ and not having the 'creative' tools like he has now)..
and 10 years later down the line it shows that Wifi wasn't harmless after all. There haven't been (long)enough studies done on the subject, so it's quite possible that wifi (and whatever other signals) have a bad effect on the body... So just plainly ignoring it by saying that it really is harmless is a very naive thing to do..
what's so special about this? There isn't anything wrong with current bookmarks IMHO, but then again, developers need to think up junk so they can release another version... So this isn't anything to brag about IMHO..
It will have not restrictions on content, BUT they sure have to remove any copyrighted material, as they cannot get out of that one this time.. Torrent files may be a legal grey area, but copyrighted material isn't..
why would this be a problem? most people who still don't have vista propably don't even have all the hardware to run it anyway..
I'm running XP x64 and must admit that it runs much better than my XP 32bit version, so I wouldn't miss it.
and let's not forget, current XP and vista will run good enough for the next 5 a 10 years, so why even bother with arguing...
If you do not agree with their screeningpractices, just refuse, yep even that means not getting the job.. I can imagine that such a screening takes place when you go work for a classified government job, but not for a programmersjob at any financial firm..
It still your decision to go along with it or not... I wouldn't...
I guess you never actually drove a real SUV, I own a Jeep Cherokee and I must say it's the best car I've ever had, it's save, is fast, it is easy to handle, can stop perfectly, has a lot of interior space, easy to load and unload, does well off road...
But why buy a small ugly car when you can drive a nice SUV..
But why buy a SUV when you like a 'small' car?
why buy a ferari when you could buy a nice yugo..
A lot of people just like the look of a SUV, just as there are people who like 'Fast and the furious' cars.
Why would I need to drive around in a car that I really don't like driving in, if you like driving in a Smart then go ahead, but please do not bitch about me driving a SUV..
Yeah I know my car 'drinks' a lot, but I pay for it.. If I could get the same car which would be superclean I would buy that one, but don't force me to drive in a car that I don't like..
A lot of people say that unix version is better, but is it? how many consumers actually work with unix.. none.. How many virusses/malware are there for unix.. very little...
The fact is that people who work with unix mostly know what they are doing..
UAC isn't bad, but needs some adjustments, but hee, it's the first version, so there's bound to be adjustments..
A lot of people here forget that UAC is for normal people who don't know jack about computers, and not really intended for people who know what they are doing (at least think they know)..
I find this stupid, because what's next? having the police go after people who run around my favorite game with a sniperrifle and keep lameshooting me?
Well, this only afferms what we all have been suspecting, Steve Jobs is just full of sh*t (as most of us already knew), he said that it was the record companies who demanded DRM on the music, but now they openly say that you can distribute music without DRM and with higher qualities.. This ofcourse means that there where enough record companies who asked Aple to distribute their music without DRM, but Apple had declined it, and now Apple is saying that they can distribute their music without DRM..
As always, Apple has been lying through their teeth..
nternet freedom in American universities
Uhm. as a student you are lucky to have free internet, the connection you are using is owned by the university, and therefore the university can make the rulez. You can access all needed info for your study on the internet without having to use any p2p program..
Even though it sounds great, it is absurd ofcourse. It's like your boss saying 'well thank you for your work, but I will not pay you'.
Why do people think they have a right to downloading copyrighted content without paying for them? The only way to have 'free' sharing is by having a special tax, and that ofcourse is not fair to people who buy their content who will also have to pay for some looser who don't want to pay..
DRM is something the consumer is responsible for, because in the past consumers illegally downloaded and shared content, the industry is still trying to get some money for the content.. If people just bought their stuff there wouldn't be any need for DRM and also the higher prices..
Making filesharing of copyrighted material legal only makes sure that the industry is going to shrink because they won't recoup their costs, or you would have content with every 3 minutes full of commercials..
The biggest mistake and headache for developers is the file protection, what morron at MS did come up with the foolish idea to redirect files written to ?:\program files\... to a user version.. A lot of applications depend on it being really in the necessary folder when more users are on the same desktop..
And the fact that just putting the program in any other folder without having this problem makes me really wonder what they where thinking.. but I'm glad that is works, as we now install our program in another folder when it's installing on Vista... The registry for us isn't a real problem yet since we already wrote automatically to the user part..
But the main problem also was that they hadn't warned developers about this.. When I was a a MS techmeeting 1 month before official release of Vista these changes came as a surprise to about 80% of the developers who where present. So you can imagine what a 'panic' started, and even the presenter was shocked at how many developers didn't know about this.. BAD MS..
'rebooting' the current internet won't happen, ever... Too many people are dependant on the internet.. It's like shutting down all power all over the world, that's also that won't ever happen (well maybe because of a natural disaster, but then I guess we won't really care as we will have other things to worry about when that happens)..
Well Jaffe is a GAMEdeveloper, and therefore he seems to forget that the PS3 is not a games only console (that's also the way Sony is marketing its console (not only for games)). For me as a movielover the PS3 is more interesting because of its BR than because of it's games..
But I wonder what he will say in 2 years when he needs more than 9GB of storage...
I'd rather develop a desktop application than a webapplication, it's much less headache and you've got much more control..
Webapplications can look nice, but they cannot compete in speed with a desktop application.. And I'd rather see an increase in speed when I use my brandspankingnew computer than having seeing a nice application which runs like crap.. Computers get faster and faster, but programs get slower and slower because they keep using slowperformance techniques like XML and other stuff like that.. ok, when you are already using XML and buy a newer computer it will go faster, but using a binary file with decent programming can increase the speed by a thousand times..
No, you are wrong, it won't play the newer titles, but the player will still keep playing the older titles in which the key wasn't revoked... So it does NOT disable your player.. You just won't be able to play newer titles...
That ofcourse is pure waste of taxpayers money.. because why does it need to be an iPod, there are much cheaper devices on the market which are much better..
At my job I was the first one to use 2 monitors, because everybody else was going LCD, so there where some 19" crt flatscreen monitors available, and I thought, well why not... Now, my 2 other co-workers also have 2 LCD screens each because they liked my setup.. My next setup will propably be 2 22" widescreen lcd screens (my boss still asks me if I want to have LCD screens, but at this moment the screens I like are just too expensive and I'm not satisfied with the 19" samsungs my co-workers have). Having 2 screens makes life so much easier, and more productive because you can have much more information at hand without having to switch (but you already knew that).. I'm even considering 2 lcd's at home, since I'm using a very old 21" CRT monitor (which is only 60Hz on 1280x1024 and above)
No, just pass it by because you want more apps to work straight away, without the need for emulating something... and ofcourse you shouldn't be a sheep and follow what some people think is cool...

well, it's they broadcaster's right to block all those options, so why bitch? You can still watch the content can't you?

by 2020 all new cars should be non-hybrid, but complete electric, comeon, it's about 13 years away..
I guess you never actually drove a real SUV, I own a Jeep Cherokee and I must say it's the best car I've ever had, it's save, is fast, it is easy to handle, can stop perfectly, has a lot of interior space, easy to load and unload, does well off road...
