Current thinking is that the engines switched into reverse, not cut out. Hence the louder than normal engine noise passengers and spectators heard. This happens usually in the very last stages of landing to assist with slowing. 2 miles out and at 200mph this isnt supposed to happen.

The pilots did not "Prevent a stall" the engines were either dead or in reverse, meaning the best the pilots could to was try to glide the plane in.

The landing gear was not torn off on impact but about half way into the "touchdown".

    There, fixed that for ya.

No. Can't you sue radio stations for allowing you to hear copyrighted music for free? Can't you sue the library for allowing you to read copyrighted books for free? Didn't think so.
Well the only reason you cannot currently hold ISP's liable for the transmission of copyrighted material is they have common carrier status. If they start filtering for one persons copyright and not others then they would, theoretically, lose that status. From there I assume they can be sued for transmitting any copyrighted material which does not have express permission to be transmitted. Or has a notice saying AT&T may not transmit this copyrighted work under any circumstances. As they have lost their common carrier rights, cant they be open to this?

Im not an expert on this type of stuff so im probably very wrong here, anyone got any clarification on this?

Which is pushing through a constitution (oh sorry i meant "treaty") that will put into place a permanent unelected EU president and staff, enable a majority of countries to push through legislation upon countries who do not want it, force a EU foreign minister, make many countries give up their seats on the UN security council and mess with independent states legal systems with the increase of powers for an EU supercourt. All this would be bad enough, but now with the german minister Angela Merkel's memo explaining how they would force it through without referendum by changing its name around a bit and forcing it through.

Say hello to country altering EU laws being passed through behind closed doors folks, its about to get ugly.

Dont get me wrong though, im not Anti-EU, it has some wonderful benefits as far as business, travel and work is concerned, its justs its new power grabbing attitude worrys me.

Military members are held responsible. If you personally know of a Law of War violation, I highly suggest you report it.
How about the couple of instances relatively recently where American bombers have bombed British Tanks, clearly and distinctively showing the friendly signs, and the Pilots being recorded noticing these sings and asking what they were. It happened not once but twice recently in similar circumstances. Coroners and investigators conclude that it was willful negligence yet does the US army release the soldiers to testify? Hell No, it does whatever the hell it wants whenever the hell it wants. These pilots were not held responsible for an obvious cockup of them not knowing what the hell they were doing.

Clearly one of the most dangerous places to be in modern warfare is on the same side as Americans.

They do communicate between each other on certain things, ie Name, DOB, address etc but afaik not on the "bad" things you did whilst you were there.

Then even after you leave school its not automagically given to employers or universitys. Its just a scare tactic.

  19. Re:Nothing "ironic" on RIAA Must Divulge Expenses-Per-Download · · Score: 0

Actually GP was making the point that the products the RIAA labels are selling that no one wants are CD's. People continue to go out and buy CD's because people like having a hard copy of things. Many people who listen to music dont know about legal or illegal downloads or the ability to burn electronically purchased music to CD's.

Maybe he was talking about the model of albums, where often you get the one or two great songs, a few good ones, and many poor ones. I don't buy albums where I can help it, unless they are compilations of different artists. There are many, many ways to improve on current tech and for the labels to embrace online distribution.

Its not that people don't want the music, people don't want the crap that comes with it and the silly ways of purchasing it that record companies force upon them, the problem is however that the majority doesnt know theres anything better out there, because record companies at the best fail to completely embrace it and at the worst try to squash it. Innovate or die, its inevitable, it might seem like they can keep death away with legal action and buying politicians, but sooner or later it comes back to bite them in the ass.
