it shouldn't be surprising that it comes from farscape. remember seeing john jumping from one ship to the next, only to come out of it with nothing more than a red face?
like a lot of the films reviewed on this site, farscape is more concerned with the plot and the relationships between the characters than anything else. if it takes a few illogical steps to further the story, you bet they'll take them. i get a bit disappointed when i see obvious physical flaws like these, but then i remind myself that i'm not watching the show to gain knowledge about life in space.
beware. i only read 2/3rds of this article because i was told there were spoilers near the end. granted this is secondhand information, but i wouldn't want to risk it.
how about some pointers? i don't know about the rest of us here, but i've never written to a representative. what's the best way to get their attention? are there any good points i should be making in this letter?
well, because filming for season 4 started late (contract crap, i'm guessing), and it won't start airing until june. so if they held to the last two seasons' standard and showed the last 4 in january, you'd be waiting 5 months for the new season. they figured it'd be better if they spread it out a bit.
last time i used winmx was a few weeks ago. it didn't have anything i was looking for. as far as asian pop goes, i'd say it's pretty popular on winmx. i saw quite a few asian clients on there (i'm basing this on the fact that when i searched for office xp, 90% of all the results were the japanese version). maybe it'll become more popular if/when kazaa is shut down.
since when would joss (the creator) do anything involving buffy that anyone forced him to? he wanted to do the musical for a long time, but he waited till emotions on the show were at the point where bursting into song made sense. while the quality of the show might be decreasing (due to joss's decreased involvement), i really don't see how the musical is a sign of the show jumping the shark.
there are many people that would disagree with you (obviously). compared to most of tv today, i find buffy a lot more interesting to watch. the writers put a lot into each episode, and it shows. i wouldn't go so far as to say it's a masterpiece, but so far it's the only series i've seen that continues to put out great stories.
and yes, if you haven't noticed yet, i'm a buffy zealot.
yeah, but they're cartoons. they kind of lend themselves to gimmicks like musicals. having one on buffy and making it fit (i.e. making it seem like something more than just a gimmick for ratings) was more difficult, and i think joss pulled it off nicely
eh, it depends on who your call gets routed to. i just spent 3 days trying to get dsl back up at work. i talked to about 5 or 6 different tech support people, but the last guy (actually, the only guy. all the rest were women) actually sounded like he knew his shit. within 20 minutes of calling him, we had dsl back up and running. when i told my boss who i talked to, he said he remembered talking to him about a year ago, and how helpful he was then as well.
i've never had a great experience with any tech support calls, but there are usually helpful people on the other end. you just have to get lucky to find them.
who are the majority of american voters? currently it's middle-aged people to seniors (if i remember my stats correctly). at their age, being nearer to death than the rest of us, they think more highly of safety than civil rights. what's the problem with giving up a few freedoms if it keeps you alive a bit longer?
if you've ever watched bill maher, this is a subject he brings up frequently. i'd say it helps explain a lot of stupid recent regulations and laws.
why you feel that any release of episode i is reason enough to buy a dvd player is beyond me. there are much better movies on dvd besides star wars that i can think of. brazil criterion edition comes to mind...
of course, it's all a matter of opinion.
it's also the same peter jackson who brought us "dead alive", a great horror comedy. everything i've read about him in connection with lotr sounds great, especially ian mckellan's(gandalf) comment. he said that peter was the perfect director for this film

it doesn't take a genius to figure that out.

damnit. another reason why i really want to work for google.
after all, those of us who grew up loving star wars saw them originally as children.
since when is U of O not a state school?
it's still a valid point. saying "holds x songs" is meaningless to me.

fuck that. there's no way i'm not taking time out from writing my term paper for scifi to watch futurama.
oh, i do, i just don't agree. it sounds to me like you just looked at the words "Buffy the Musical" and immediately drew a conclusion.
i'm sorry to hear that... oh wait, i'm not.

i believe it's a bart line. he's saying it to lisa when homer interrupts.

i tried that with a penny once. i believe i was 3. my digestive track did a nice job of cleaning it.

build a man a fire, he'll be warm for the night. set a man on fire, and he'll be warm for the rest of his life.

Does anyone else think the Caldera icon looks like a blue mickey mouse on a balloon?
you mean im not the only one? phew. no matter how many times i look at it, i always see it as mickey mouse before i see it as a C.
well, combine the ipaq with mushroom tea, and you can watch all the pretty colors swirl on the screen while you talk to yourself
