Actually, according to interpretative readings of Dante's Divine Comedy (Canto I; L.31-33), the Leopard represents wordly pleasure and lust. So the sign actually says "Beware of the Wolf", since the Wolf represents avarice.

pffft! In my day 1200 baud modems were for the rich, 300 baud Hayes were for the upper middle class and the rest of us tapped out binary on tins cans that were strung together. The original PPP (Peasant to Peasant Protocol) specification used to be one tap for 1 and no taps for 0, but after the great flame war that ensued when Timmy mistook Dan's message as being a derogitory comment about his sister, PPPv2 was developed and one tap meant 0 and a quick double tap meant 1. Fortunately for us, it was only a software upgrade as Cambell's coupons were scare back then.

That's why I've learned to say hello once and only once and then hang up after a there's been a pause that's longer than a second or two. If it was a human on the other end calling me they would have starting speaking by that time, so it's safe to say that I was dialed by one of those auto-dialers. If I ever get it wrong and it was someone I know, they would just call right back (and hopefully be quicker on the uptake), but that's yet to happen. The machines OTOH, conventiently just go on to the next number on their list.

I was an I-9 admin for HP years ago so I can answer that.

To work in the US you must prove your identity and employment eligibility. While a document like a passport proves both, the individual can provide two seperate documents instead, one proving their identitiy (they are who they say they are) and the other that they are entitled to work in the US. Lacking a driver's license the person can use a state ID card or a voter registration card or even a school report card along with a social security card or their birth certificate (Original or Certified/Abstract).

The list of acceptable documents is included with Form I-9 available from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services websiteright here

The only way a boycott can work is if virtually _EVERYONE_ boycotts, but the average Joe doesn't know or could care less about issues of fair use, etc, so you'll never get enough of a consensus together to do anything more than cause a slight slump in their sales.

Unfortunately, the MPAA and RIAA will use any perceived drop in sales as an excuse to convince congress to give them even more favourable legistlation (if that's possible) because "people must be stealing the content since they're not buying it as much any more". Then they'll then wave those same statistics around like a huge banner in front of the judiciary as proof that little Timmy's download of that Metallica song just cost them billions.

Timmy will go to jail, his parents will have to enslave themselves for the rest of their lives to pay the fine and the MPAA and RIAA will hike their 24hr view/listen pricing to $19.99 to cover their fudged^H^H^H^H^H^Halleged 'losses'... in short, everyone loses except them.
