    Which is exactly the reason such warnings are often missing from gear that people buy directly from China.

    Really? I thought it was an overpopulation thing.

    Kidding aside, would the lack of such warnings actually produce a subtle sort of intelligence/knowledge/literacy/other selection pressure?

    I constantly remind people on the rsnap mailing list about the existence of cryptolocker type malware.

    Along those lines, could one write or modify a filesystem driver to add mount options which only allowed creation of files and directories (on, say, a snapshot-style-style backup volume), to combat those kinds of attacks?

    Gratuitous low-grade racism aside, I do notice that MetroPCS ads seem to feature more Hispanics. Anyone familiar with the relative performance and target markets of the secondary carriers (Boost, MetroPCS, Cricket, others ?)
