A little off topic, but I read an article somewhere about creating the ultimate silent PC. It included making the case completely air and water tight, removal of all fans and active cooling, and filling up the case with a non conductive oil (I think canola oil) for a heat transfer medium.
For a while I had a 32 inch LCD on my desk at work. While initially it was fantastic, the novelty soon wore off and I found myself with just too much screen to look at. The resolution was only 1280x768 which was a big factor in my dislike of the actual physical size. However, give me three 19 inch 1280x1024 or higher side by side and I'll be feelin no pain. Two screens are just unbalanced.
In other news, Gillette pledges a razor with 81 micro blades. 80 blades are individually controlled via Intel's new 80 core processor. The 81st blade is available just because..
Another major problem that in my opinion should discourage alarm monitoring over broadband is the unscheduled downtime experienced. When was the last time you picked up the phone and found out there was no dialtone there?
Most high end audio stores still sell this equipment. But be prepared to spend relatively insane amounts of money for them. At one place where I bought my Etymotic earphones I saw a record player stylus for sale. Cost was in the four digit range. They don't come cheap. There are also garage sales though. I'm sure people still have the old suitcase type record players around in their basements.
I totally agree with you on the after hours exercise part. Myself, I do KungFu after work a few nights a week, and some in the morning every day. Does wonders for keeping the body in shape so it doesn't waste away just sitting and pecking at keys every work day.
Are there people who actually have used this functionality? I have not used this features once yet. Features like this and the "Hide inactive icons" in the system tray seem like they may end up doing more harm than good possibly getting rid of certain needed info or hiding an unwanted automatically started process.. For me, I like to see all of my system tray Icons, including the "inactive" ones, just so I have a partial idea of what's running in the background without having to go through the process listing in the task manager.
No mention of original Zelda from NES? That game is probably the only old game I played while a kid and am still coming back to it at least once a year to play through. I'll take Zelda and an emulator over chicken soup any day when I'm out sick.
When the device is tilted back? Does this mean that doing a wheelie causes a reverse in torque to the back tire? Sounds like a hidden attempt at sterilizing part of the population. Ouch..
"And since Mars doesn't appear to have a history of complex life, it's exceedingly unlikely that there's any coal or oil there.
And since there's not much oxygen there (on account of there being not much in the way of plant life at present), a gasoline powered engine is gonna be pretty useless."
What about Mr. Fusion? All we need are a few banana peels and beer!
As Self Pay Terminals become more the norm throughout the department stores, I wonder how the tags that require deactivating are deactivated. Possibly by scanning the barcode. But that would require the tracking tag to be placed by the barcode, thus enabling easy location and possible removal of the device.
Didn't we just see a repeat of this last shuttle launch? And again it will happen in the next few weeks. Engineers who understand and report the deficiencies, and management trumping their educated answers to meet a deadline.
But how hard would it be to put in an option that lets you skip the tutorial. I bought B&W2 about half a year ago, installed it and started the game. There was quite a bit of overkill in the tutorial. At one point, the player is taught how to "move left" and right after is taught how to "move right". Redundant aspects like that create a mandatory tutorial incredibly boring to play through. It totally turned me off of the game. I think I logged a total of maybe 2 hours playtime. However, it was fun beating the monkey.
There's only one way to gain the upper hand on this one. And be careful to not put your foot in your mouth while doing it.
Hmmm, sounds almost human like..
There's nothing to be seen here. Please move along now.

I don't see the difference. Is there a difference?

So I wonder what the response time between inflation and deflation is. It could be a fun prank "cutting the cheese" with one of these on.

There's no Santa Claus? Care to explain where my Christmas presents come from? And who eats those milk and cookies I leave out every christmas eve?

I am AllStar, A Robot. I can put my arm back on. You can too!
Ahhh, childhood memories...

Langoliers anyone?

In light of this recent downgrade, will PS3 be able to run Duke Nukem Forever? We'll just have to wait and see...
Jones in the fast lane? I spent many a break while at college playing this game with friends.
Porno convention anyone?
