I will always thing the original plan for Lost was for it to turn out everyone died in the crash.
Now, I think they let success get the better of them and stalled out the show too long adding along the way so many twists that even the writers aren't sure where to go with it anymore. In the end they will pick and choose the episodes that supports their end and ignore the others (like the X-Files.)

And they will just re-shred the private, personal stuff, correct?

It's standard hypocrisy. Can you apply and get a job at Google with no resume (other than the fast food jobs you had as a kid?) Would they understand if you told them that you would like to but you signed similar NDAs with the other companies you worked for?
But this has been going on for a while. How many people have worked at a job that states that they do not give references for employees but expect 3 or 4 references to hire you?
Give it up. There is no one more preachy of others faults than many non-smokers.
When we smoke were they tell us to (usually in some uncovered shithole) the non-smokers complain that they still smell the smoke. Then they get in their tricked out cars designed to cause more pollution and to be otherwise loud and act like they are considerate of others.
Well, if you like only one or two songs than buying the individual songs would be a better bargain for you than buying the whole cd when the rest of the songs are crap.
For system wide settings a good place to start is/etc and for user setting look in your home directory.
I don't see how looking at the registry and seeing HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT, HKEY_CURRENT_USER, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, HKEY_USERS, HKEY_CURRENT_CONFIG, and HKEY_DYN_DNA plus all the hidden config files scattered all over windows root and user directories is easier.
Also, if an upgrade breaks forcing you to type some "arcane" apt or dpkg lines, it sounds like you would be screwed.
The nice thing about Debian/Ubuntu/Madriva/and so on is that there are multiple ways to upgrade and fix systems. The most versatile are the command line commands because you're not dependent on a GUI and you have more override options.
I have been impressed with abiword. So far it has opened ever word doc I have thrown at it. And it opens in less than a second. I have started using gnumeric for the stuff my job sends me in excel format and it is working very well. (Granted we don't have very sophisticated spreadsheets.)
I have seen several people search the the live search. Those are the same people who just got a 2 year tech degree in everything microsoft and are then shocked when the job offers don't start rolling in.
We are not a democracy. We are a republic. Bush did win the majority on the last election. China is not known for its enviromentalism either or human rights record.
Sorry, but the average Windows user does not purchase a full copy of Norton in my experience. They let the it expire and wonder why 4 month later their PC is running slower.

Not directly related to you only, but the non-smokers seem to have mod points today.
You really laugh your head off each time? And they say people are miserable during the holidays.

Remember - you have to pay extra for spell check. (That is the real reason people buy Word.)
Cuba is a perfect example of why embargo's do not work. That is why I never understood people advocating the like with Iraq and other countries.
Besides the poor - or soon to be poor - who does an embargo hurt?
Wow! Have you been trying to work that into to a post for a while now because it sure came out of nowhere?
If you run KDE (or use Konqueror) type man:/

Sometimes the commandline is faster.

As long as I can still smoke in there.
Try it again :)
I don't know. Let me know when you're done.

But what would Debian call it? Icewm is taken.

I'm sorry but do you even think before posting? That was too easy to dispute.
Does it run on linux?
Neither
I was by a cousin of a friend of an ms rep that it could fly.
