Yeah. We have a President who blames congress for not writing bills based on vague descriptions of ideas that he has.
Congress does a lousy job defending itself because both parts are controlled by opposite sides and they are constantly blaming each other. The end result is that people hear 3 groups of people blaming Congress for all our woes. Of course Congress has a lower rating.
He loves going place to place and telling that audience what they want to hear and then passing the actual work to Congress who he knows won't/can't do it.
I'm red/green color blind and at that time In Texas, you did not have to take a driving class to get a learners permit (and from there a license) as long as you were 18 or older.
One of the questions on the test was a picture of a horizontal light with one of the lights lit. It was a true false question on whether you keep going or stop. I got the answer wrong and still passed. (Horizontal lights are rare enough that I never paid attention as a passenger.)
I remember being amazed that putting in writing that I would run a red light was not an automatic fail.
I never understand why people leave the current Obama administration out of these lists. He has taken what Bush did further than Bush ever dreamed (which is normal. The next president usually adds to their power/abuse instead of reducing it.)
Every airport, job, and sports bar I have been to plays CNN. I spent a lot of time in hospitals watching over my wife, and that was the only place I saw Fox New (but the TV next to it had CNN.)
I guess it is possible that only Texas defaults to CNN, but based on every stereotype I read here and online, you would assume the opposite.
No - those southern democrats stayed southern democrats. They are dying off, but they did not flock en masse to another party. Senator Byrd is a great example of the ability of Democrats to look the other way when racism is in their own party.
Based on the fact that Lincoln suspended habeas corpus, you are probably correct that he would be a democrat today.
If Romney had received all the "far right" (by your standards) votes he would have won.
The VPs were the reason people were able to stomach McCain and Romney. I know far more people that would have voted Republican if Ryan had been the presidential pick.
I never understood why the Republican establishment wanted Romney. Any person that ran a business would have fired people and Romney's types of business did that in droves. It was easy to make people hate Romney because it was easy to link him to the heartless boss that everyone at one time has had. On top of that, picking Romney killed the chance to make ObamaCare an issue without looking like a fool (most people will never understand the states rights vs federal rights or will have it tied forever in their head with slavery..)
It's "gutting" companies that are already failing. He extended the life of most of the companies further than would have been possible without his company's intervention.
No one would dare impeach Obama. He could sleep through an attack that results in the first death of a US ambassador in decades and not many care. He executed American citizens via drone strikes and not many care. He has the justice department run a gun program (that doesn't even track the guns) to arm the Mexican cartels, and not many care.
It's amazing what Nixon was impeached for compared with what we put up with now.
And yes, Bush blah blah blah. Obama is not responsible for anything. But Bush did not run a presidential campaign stating that he was against all this stuff and then do it after getting elected. Unfortunately, I can't believe country was tricked by Obama the second time. Obama had a record to be judged when he ran this time. This forces me to believe that the majority of voters are either ok with this, or too lazy to do research.
If the government is run by corporations, then why do people push for a single payor system?
If you honestly believe that corporations are running the country, then having the government in front just takes away what little accountability the corporations have now.
Very true. That is why we are all still living under trees (if we're lucky!) and have no tech.
Dang religion. If only it would allow us to advance. Heck, without religion, we might even have machines that would let us talk to each other across mass distances.
I hate to say this, but I find I am more likely to take the time to write a bad review than a good one. (Anger is a great motivator.) I assume others are like this as well so I read the negative reviews in that light.
Also, any review in all caps, good or bad, I automatically discard.
This insulting generalization is the reason people that nothing is getting done in Washington. This president has set back racial advances by years by allowing his supporters to continue to insult descent in this fashion.
If the Republicans wanted this health plan, they would have passed it when they controlled both the congress and the presidency.
Yes, some Republicans supported it as an alternative to Hilary's healthcare plan. If you want to go that far back, though, then you should be calling out the Clinton's and Obama for changing their stance on welfare reform, immigration, and gay marriage.
I didn't say all. I said most. Look at most sports stars, Hollywood folk, proper owners, etc. Heck, just look at the number of millionaire democrat congressman and senators compared to Republicans.
I switched to inoreader after reading the recommendations here. Of course, I had started using oldreader based on the recommendations here so we will see how that goes.
I'd set up TT-RSS, but my work blocks all ports (at least the ones I tried) except for 80 and I am using that for other stuff at home already.

Where is the actually written bill?

Same in Texas (might even be a 70%.)

Was it this story?

If so, it was from sciencemag
The devs finished watching Super Shark and wanted to work in a walking tank to their story. Who can blame them?

And was called a racist for it. It's a nice cover when you are able to throw that accusation against anyone that disagrees or calls you out.

This is his second term.

Why not just have a new character? Why change the gender of an existing one?

It is easier to move from a state than from a country.
And if it really worked that well, the other states would have adopted it without the federal government forcing it down our throats.
Do you realize how much shooting and lack of cleaning it would take to reach that point?
Animal crap has a much bigger impact to our water supplies than this.
So you are saying that recycling batteries have the same environmental impact as molding metal?
Ha ha ha. American's hate change and love God. Pretty insightful and funny about how backwards we all are.
I remember the Slashdot thread on Thatcher's death. Seems like a number of british are still bitching about fake ice cream.

Honestly, why do you give a shit?
Just ignore the fucking article if it bugs you so much.
