  1. Easy work-around. on Fighting Online Game Cheating in Hardware · · Score: 1

Cheat using hardware! All it takes is a tiny little device between the mouse/keyboard and the computer. Just plug the keyboard into one side, and plug the other into your PS/2 port, use software to program it (requires USB too?) and then the chipset is getting the "cheating" input too. it'd cost around $15.

  4. Speed of all this? on Researchers Developing Single-Pixel Camera · · Score: 1

Shutter speed? My camera takes some time to take a picture...particularly in dark environments where I can't use the flash (Fireworks for instance). These pictures usually come out blurry because in the .5 second it took to take the picture, my hand moved. If this thing has to record say, 5 million pixels (a 5MP camera), surely that takes some time. Is it long enough for me to move my hand and make the picture blurry? (or, otherwise askew?)

  20. Blocking the wrong people? on House Passes Ban on Social Site Access · · Score: 1

It seems to be that blocking children from accessing MySpace or a site like that at a library isn't exactly the right response. I think the stalkers are going to use the public library computers more than the kids are -- and the stalkers can ask to get to the sites! This law does nothing -- if a creep wants to stalk a kid online from a public library terminal, he can -- as long as the kid isn't at the library. The kid, however, can use alot of other computers -- at school, their best friends house or even at home. I think it's blocking the wrong half of the stalking equation.
