The federal government should only provide *essential* public services.
Developing video games is not a service in my opinion. You may disagree, but I attribute that to a lack of understanding of the definition of 'service'.
...and I completely understand the need to pay taxes. Where did that come from?
Even with weights in free diving, the speed of descent is no-where near what this jetpack would provide. Your body would have significantly less time to adapt, thus, I still believe it is not a good idea.
I want to know who at Sony keeps gambling with these bizzare chipsets, hoping they get uber-lucky one time, instead of going with something Tried and True.
Why do they keep doing this to themselves? cell?! ftw?
I agree. I picked up a quad-core and I rarely utilize anything that puts me at 50% (2 out of 4).
Even games, I find the bottleneck is my Video card, not the processor.
My biggest complaint by far is my hard disk. I can't wait for cheap, fast flash drives. Finally make 'Configuring your Computer' after a Vista update not make me want to pull my dick off.
As I replied to the comment above yours, with a larger TV, you are going to instantly increase things like oh 'energy lost due to heat', etc, etc.
It's pretty obvious why they chose a 20 inch to compare their TV against. People are dumb and they won't realize they are intentionally trying to Fudge their numbers. I have no doubt these TV's save energy, but at 40%...I'm not sure I buy into that... especially with that bizzare comparison.
A larger TV may need a significant amount of additional energy to supply the exponentially increasing Surface Area. So, although they did use the 'per panel square inch' terminology, it would make a heck of a lot more sense to use a similar size TV for comparison.
the Sony 11 inch diagonal OLED TV can result in reduced power consumption of up to 40% per panel square inch compared to conventional 20-inch LCD panels. No backlight is used with the organic materials.
Can we at least try to compare apples with apples. A 20inch is 55% larger than a 11inch tv, so does this even save power?
...not to mention you didn't answer my question anyway. my point is that car radiators have been improved upon and have become very stable over the years. I don't doubt the first generations of liquid cooling PCs would be problematic.
Second, I have no debt, I live well within my means, and what the HELL are you talking about anyway?
You are the pinnacle of a dork trying to win an argument by screaming the loudest. Stay on topic and take your A.D.D. medicine. ok?
Given the lifespan of a laptop is less than 5 years typically... How many people do you know who have had Car Radiator leaks on their automobile less than 5 years after they purchased it brand new??
The best FPS I have ever played was Quake 1.
Mainly because internet-play was relatively new to gamers, the customizeability of every aspect of that game, and oh yea, because I was a Teenager!
I'm not trying to rip on you, but I don't think I've played a 'fantastic' FPS since then. I'm sure the same could be said by this current generation, who play Gears of War for the first time.
The games are still good, but you've just gotten used to them. (because you are old). Unfortunately, very few movies, even highly acclaimed ones, stir up my emotions as well. You can only do the same thing so many times before it becomes boring.
I find airports immensely stressful, seriously so, to the point that I take the train
sheesh, calm down already. It ain't that bad (even if you fall into one of those 'special' ethnicity groups). You need to get out of your mothers basement more often.
Is there a way to create or replicate this bone marrow? Or will this immune donor be continually used for every AIDS patient in the world? How many natural immune donors are there? I think only a few.
Researchers found that the bedrooms and offices of liberals tend to be colorful and full of books about travel, ethnicity, feminism and music, along with music CDs covering folk, classic and modern rock, as well as art supplies, movie tickets and travel memorabilia. Their conservative contemporaries, on the other hand, tend to surround themselves with calendars, postage stamps, laundry baskets, irons and sewing materials.
Apparently they interviewed Dr. Gregory House and then went straight to the trailer park. What a fair and unbiased study.
I completely disagree with that philosophy. I don't believe you would ever see that additional money. Ever!
Companies will *always* pay you as little as they can without you getting up and leaving to go somewhere else.
You give the average /.er too much credit :)

you should never put all your eggs in one basket.
hopefully you learned your lesson.
thats right...let the free market decide. You nor I should be telling others how to spend *their* money.

;)
But *you* are more than welcome to try it
yea, because it's safe to skyrocket beneath the waters surface and rise back up. (The Bends)
i think that is the best story i've ever heard on slashdot.

and you're going to let them 'beta test' their high-end GPU (with absolutely zero track-record) in your flagship gaming console?
oh noes, they forgot to update some arbitrary text in a help document. That must mean nothing else has changed.
</sarcasm>

It is still is a terrible comparison.

Again, I would really love to request the FearMongering tag for this pompous author.
Oh wise non-Americans (including yourself) please teach us how to be as great as thee!
Given the lifespan of a laptop is less than 5 years typically... How many people do you know who have had Car Radiator leaks on their automobile less than 5 years after they purchased it brand new??
Where is the tag for FearMongering?
Everything is a built-in-defect waiting to happen.
Your argument is null.
Lets stop doing *anything* new because there might be a small amount of issues with this new technology initially. pfft.

mod up for saying 'make sex' and causing me to think she was Vietnamese or something.
Well, now there are at least two donors.
Sure I do, they each have their own implenetations of Webkit. Much like how sorting an array can be done with Bubble Sort or QuickSort.
Apple = Bubble Sort in this case.
