As smug as I'm sure you feel about your post, you are ignoring the fact that real people die from terrorist attacks, and that the threat *is* real. You can ignore it, or blame it on Bush. But it's there none-the-less. And I doubt the terrorists will care if a Democrat is elected or the 'neocons' lose power.
Seems to me that 'expected imminently' means you know that an attack is going to happen.
Then it sounds to me like you don't understand what the word 'expected' means. If it meant that they "know" an attack is about to happen, then wouldn't it be stated as "an attack *will* happen imminently?"
As a Brit, (a nation with arguably some of the best sarcasm/irony in comedy), I would say that I don't find it sarcastic in the least. It just sounds absurd and stupid.
Nothing quite as funny as a man in a dress though, eh? Ripping good fun that is.:-)

Do you expect me to purchase a game and play it through before I give it to my children?
Good lord no! I fully expect you to do as little as possible and yet maintain your expectation that your children will not be exposed to things you don't care for.
Every serious debate over Iraq, f'rinstance, centers around whether or not staying in Iraq is good for American power, not over whether we had any right to go to war in the first place with a nation that had not attacked us nor showed any indication of doing so.
Perhaps because debating something that has already happened is futile and the only way to resolve the current situation is to consider the current situation? Whining over whether we should have gone in to begin with changes nothing.
If you want to split hairs, the tubes aren't doing the carrying, the wire is. You could say the Internet is a series of wires, and sound like less of a total loon than Ted Stevens.
How is tubes far different from the common term 'pipes' that is used by geeks?
Ahhh, so they do. I hadn't seen the Lulu entry (I'd just looked at blurb.com).
I haven't paid much attention to on-demand printing so far. This may not be the same as "being published" as some folks have mentioned, but I could definitely see this stuff being used for clubs and other groups though (promotional material, bylaws, etc.).
This seems very interesting. It would be nice if they would accept existing formats as well as whatever is generated from their application. But I like the idea of printing low-volume books becoming cheaper.
I called nothing illegal. The original post shouldn't either. It's not the fact that the NSA is spying that bothers me as much as the fact that they see no need to report to *any* higher authority. There must be oversight to such projects!
Oh, I really don't care what his motives are. Motives only matter if I trust the person. The President telling me his motives says nothing about whether his motives are misguided or not. Crazy people have killed their families to 'save them' from pain.
Apparently part of my comment was a bit ambiguous. I meant that the poster didn't (likely, this is an assumption on my part) have actual evidence of spying on himself and that that would lead to 'bad things' should he voice dissent. I didn't shrug anything off.
Personally I could care less if the NSA wants to spy on everyone. Good luck with that. I have nothing to hide.

Noone knows. That's the point of an investigation and oversight to little projects like this. To ensure that none are. Now a politician tells me that he's doing something that could well be abused in many creative ways, and that it doesn't need oversight, well forgive me if I become very suspicious.
Wow what a wuss. In the past Americans have died for our beliefs. But you won't support a political party because (contrary to any actual evidence) you believe you may be spied upon and some "great unknown" may happen? Why don't you grow a pair and fight for your rights? Freedom is expensive my friend.
I saw a more graceful way of exiting in one of the videos. Just shoot an 'exit' hole at a wall. You'll then be propelled from the wall onto land ending the loop.

As far as I know so long as they report everything properly there's nothing illegal about an executive selling stock when their stock price goes up.
Like this?
I thought they were already? What else do they call it when my parents need to click 'no' on three to four pop-up ads when they login?
I certainly don't believe those messages are representative of the public at large.
You need to meet more people. :-)
Man, you owe me an afternoon. That was a thumping good read...

How would ICANN being 'international' change this either way?

See: US House of Representatives. Smarter men than you figured this out a couple hundred years ago.

On what basis do you accuse me personally of any of your assumptions?

Dr. King died for his beliefs. As did others in the civil rights movement. Were they following the lies of the power elite?

BTW, what 'rights' are being revoked?

If American voters aren't happy with his decision they can always vote him out.
This is his last term. According to the law even if Americans *loved* him he can't run again. US Presidents are only allowed 8 years in office.
That's okay. I think it's just a $50 fine if you do. You should be able to mail it in.
