I just logged onto GooglePlay to look at this app. As of right now 25 5-star reviews and 2176 1-star reviews ( 8 in between). all 1-star reviews had similar language to the parent post (especially the "Nope!" part) and most were carbon copies of each other. On top of that, when I went back to the GooglePlay store, CurrentC was absent from my recent searches and it took until i typed the whole title back in for the app to reappear as a suggestion from the drop-sown menu.
I could care less about Target or Wal-Mart being charged by Visa, et.al. and I could care less about Google or Apple trying to make a pay-by-phone app, but this targeted and clearly choreographed backlash against CurrentC makes me wonder what's really going on here. I smell the smelly smell of something that smells smelly...
SJWs are the new, persistent, invasive, and incredibly annoying trolls (I don't doubt other trolls have stated mimicking their behavior just to annoy others, not to advocate the position). But I would still say people who d0x others and post SSNs, addresses, and spam death threats are the ultimate trolls. That said, SJWs could easily fall into that category, but it's not mutually exclusive to them.
Ahh yes, YouTube user "ziv121213". He's world-renowned as an expert on the Israeli side of the debate and would never upload a false video just to troll people.
No, no, no. His stardom has finally reached the magnitude that it has become observable in outer space, by astrophysicists. Given his take on Shakespeare, I doubt he'd make a good astrophysicist.
I found this app randomly about a month back, and I would echo the same criticisms. Whenever I see a sentence that needs translating the includes The/A/One (using for French, btw) I pretty much shrug and give it a crap shoot. The andriod app does allow skipping the microphone sections, though. So I don't have to call attention to myself while using it on the job by saying "I am a girl who likes apples" and getting cockeyed looks.
All that said, the fact that this is free and I haven't hit a wall where it says "to continue you must pay X amount" is very, very cool. For that reason, I'd actually be more inclined to donate at least $5 (wait, you sure this guy isn't a marketing strategist?).
Good thing there's no call for or benefit from greater per-car occupancy, or experimentation more generally with disruptive disintermediation.
I'm thinking Anon was having too much fun writing the summary to give the title a second glance. Editors are notorious for making slight changes to titles as well (it's about the only thing they'll "correct").
I forgot to add this to a different reply of mine: more transparency from police should be a hot button issue in the U.S. I'd vote for just about anyone who campaigned for third-party investigations of police shootings. Looks like there's at least one bill, but not in my state.
I suppose given the sketchiness on some details, ("As officers closed in, the man pointed a handgun in the direction of at least one of the officers; one or more of the officers opened fire, killing the man, the police said.") and there's always a possibility of planted evidence you have a point. But cops aren't soldiers, (well, shouldn't be) so some confusion from the shootout is to be expected. On the other hand, the dead man's past record sort of seals the deal that this was legit.
I guess we're stuck at "news breaks fast, stories take years".
Pretty much this. If the series was going to be milked further, it should have gone forward, not backward*. Oh well, a bunch of people will pay $10-$35 to see it. That's all the people pulling the strings care about

And since you clearly do, link? To someone who's a known open source contributor and can be quoted as saying (along the lines of ) "open source is 100% immune from flaws".
I mean, what are the odds that people anonymously post on the Internet pretending to be from one organization/ideology but intentionally use invalid logic and reason because they're actually an opponent of said organization/ideology?...On the Internet!?
Yeah the properties that give tobacco, and all plants in the Solanaceae (nightshade) family, their uses as a pesticide are well known. This is different, this is a man-made antibody that uses the tobacco plant almost like a factory to produce it en masse (if I'm reading the mumbo jumbo correct).
Depends how we build our cities. The Minneapolis Skyway System is a good example of how to keep overcrowding down (albeit, there isn't much overcrowding in Minneapolis, but the proof-of-concept and scalability is there). We also might need to start looking at more experimental ideas like Arcologies, which are still a ways off.
I didn't believe dogecoin was real at first. I thought it was a weird front of some anti-bitcoin group that took to a very annoying way of mocking its opponent. I didn't find out it was real until I was reading some user stories of scammers, and hackers in the "Dogecoin network" and people griping about how they had made their way over from something called Litecoin. Things are already moving too fast for me, in my twenties...
Nice, thanks. I already have Avast! Anti-Theft, data encryption, and a 10 digit password, but the more the merrier. My last line of defense: I put all my money/financial apps in a folder called "PlsDontH4x". 'Cause you never know where asking nicely will get you...
The first link mentioned that the two crew ejected.

I'd much rather have spider DNA inserted into goats than have people farming black widow spiders en masse for their webs.
"Bob Pendleton calls his blog "The Grumpy Programmer" because he's both grumpy and a programmer."
Thanks, Rob!!

Still, not as cool as discovering the Jaguar Shark.

Uhm, no fucking shit. Obligatory

Well, an aboriginal might not agree. But, they've only been there for tens of thousands of years.

I know there's a lot of sentiment in that regard-- in general. But this isn't the time or place.
Let me get this straight: using the word "retard" is deplorable, but inhumane treatment of prisoners is A-OK?

So much for "one question per post" eh? ;)
*scuttles away*

Wow....what happened to Kabletown?

On a more serious note, ripple looks interesting.
