I see. Well, fair enough. Based on your original comment it sounded like you were talking about software installed without your permission (a'la Sony's rootkit) rather than any and all forms of DRM.
Um. Um... Okaaaaay...
Did you read the parent at all? If so I suggest a re-read from a new perspective, as you're knee-jerking based on your assumptions rather than responding to what was actually written. The parent is not saying that Sony's DRM is good.
I also thought that making plans for a trip to Russia wasn't all that impressing, but then as I read on realized she was actually talking about making a visa application. Basically, the article was misleading and could have used a better way to summarize the lady's achievements.
This is now totally off topic, but an even more interesting question to me is: If weed is illegal, then why is alcohol not? Or the other way around. It's all just totally ridiculous.
I don't think you belong here.
Ridiculous. Where would we be if everyone used "programming languages" to write programs.
The tech companies are not anti-DRM. They're pro-profit. Use that as your viewpoint and it explains all of your questions.
To support the content creator?
Yes, but what do brownies have to do with DRM and pr0n?
Dude, I think you may have a bit too much time on your hands.
See if they'd just been using the tech support messaging network, they wouldn't have had to build their own!
Yeah, it's a quirk local to the rest of the world. US slang is so tame - "crappy", what the hell?

Bless you!
Oh wait, I see - those were NAMES. Nevermind.

It's interesting how people never reply when they've been pwnd.
Um, yeah. That's what he said.
Actively omitting relevant truths is just another way of lying. It's misleading. It's a lie, albeit not a direct untruth.
It's interesting that what you're complaining about is exactly what tons of other comments suggest ISPs in the US should do.
No you didn't.
