The article seems to be behind a paywall. There's an editorial on the article describing the main points at: http://atm.amegroups.com/artic...
From that editorial: "Shimamura et al. demonstrated that a microbubble-enhanced ultrasound method successfully delivered therapeutic genes into the CNS with no evidence of brain damage". So it is not only ultrasounds that are required for this procedure to work, but some microbubble injection needed. I could not find any reference on the gas used for this microbubbles, nor their size nor how they generate them. Still sounds like a very promising treatment.
Are there plans to support streaming to Chromecast? the nightly builds for v3 contained at some point an experimental implementation but now it has disappeared. Is this something on the roadmap?
I think this Machine-to-Machine (M2M) communication of home appliances would better use PLC http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_line_communication instead of wireless for communicating.
All of these appliances already need a power plug, so no extra cables are needed. And the wireless communication can be really bad in some houses with thick walls.
If drugs become targeted to certain DNA profiles, wouldn't it be likely that medical centers ask you to let them keep records of your DNA? Well, may be not your complete DNA, but certain genes.
I wonder what could happen if such records go to the "wrong" hands, as health insurance companies.
It may be an strategic choice from MS. Preventing people from use other filesystems will lock you to Windows.
In the other hand, releasing a development kit to users for free (as in beer) would help them increase the user base, and thus selling more Windows copies.

The big drawback I can see is that anyone will get a speeding ticket anymore. The government would not receive any income from that.
They may limit your engine though a bit higher than the actual speed limit so they can still fine you.
This somehow exists in IPv4 already, but it is capped by default. In the options field of the IPv4 header you can instruct the packet to follow a certain route, bypassing the route choosen for it by the routers.
The use of the LSSR and SSRR options (Loose and Strict Source and Record Route) is discouraged because they create security concerns; many routers block packets containing these options.
I think the main purpose for this kind of paper is to be more environment friendly, maybe by reducing the number of trees you cut down. But if the process of making this paper uses more toxic chemicals, the situation could be worse. Paper mills are not the cleanest industries.

If cellphones already implement some sort of encryption and their camera quality is good enough, why not taking pictures with them?

You can change almost anything in this mouse, except you cannot turn it into a left-handed mouse. This mouse is for right-handed people only.
I'm left handed and I use a left-handed mouse at home. My hand muscles are much more relaxed with my mouse.
I have also tried symmetrical mouses, but I still feel a mouse shaped to the hand you are going to use it is much better.

Summary: the broadband industry regulates itself, thus prices remain high.
