the HTML isnt really a problem. it's mostly CSS and occasionally javascript and DOM.
but one that thing would really help is if they made a standard for the window object model and designMode. designMode in particular is one big glorious pile of chaos.
I *am* willing to buy a new USB network adapter that works correctly in a default install of Ubuntu without any editing of config files or ndiswrap'in - but I've yet to have anyone point me to a USB network adapter that fits that criteria.
here. look at the reviews, ctl-f for Ubuntu or Linux.
here's one. $16 and the reviews say it works with ubuntu fine.
IIRC, the main addition in UT2004 was the vehicles, which may have been Epic's response to Halo's success on the PC.
personally i liked 2003 better. i dont remember how, but i definitely remember the controls feeling different with 2004, and i had already gotten pretty good with 2003 so it was like starting all over again.
we might already move about it the same way we move through space, but we experience it only in one direction because of how our memories are created (or maybe some other reason).
in order for time travel to actually be significant, your body would have to travel through time in one direction while everything around you traveled in a separate direction, which would be just as unlikely as it is now (AFAIK).
the photons wouldnt stop. they're not moving in the time dimension, only in the space dimensions. from the frame of reference of the photon, there is no time.
perhaps his username and password are the same in gmail and facebook, and thought facebook was asking for his facebook credentials when they were actually asking for his gmail credentials.:)
so then who do they claim is at fault? if each downloader caused $18 in damages, why did the uploader cause any damages at all? are they actually claiming $18 in damages twice, from both uploader and downloader when 1 cd is exchanged? or are they shifting the blame entirely to the uploader because it's more convenient for them?
ID 646779 was registered somewhere between 2000 and 2002 (i think), my current ID was registered about 2 years ago, and i think i started seeing IDs in the millions about a year ago.
not just for security, but for debugging purposes. without the logs, you have little evidence of what actually happened behind the scenes, which can make debugging very difficult.

there's actually some theory, dont remember what it's called or even if it had a name, which if true would mean you could play Russian Roulette forever and never die, because your consciousness follows the universes in which you're still alive. that may be what the GP is referring to.
the most effective solution would involve a GPS receiver. but it's going to be difficult hiding it in/on the case, and the software that uploads the info probably wont survive an OS reinstall.
Nobody is going to spend millions of dollars to build a working quantum computer just so they can steal your credit card number.
with a universal cryptography-breaking-device, there are much bigger targets than individuals. if you find the right target, it could be very profitable.

i think they meant the hostname or path part of the URL, not the protocol (as "blog" isnt a protocol, is it?).

it's not uncommon. if they have it, it'll be in the privacy policy page.

Jan 13th, 1998, the oldest index archive.org has
i suspect it's around 0, give or take a few nanoseconds.
a ramdisk would be much cheaper, and (if you could find a PCI-e one) should have more bandwidth too.
of course, if you're using it for a page file, when you plug it in you gotta be thinking "why dont i just use this ram as ram?"
you mean like the decay of the false vacuum?
that would kinda suck.

well, here's one way. use this site. if you get a 1, go drive head-on into someone.

in other words, why should we try to understand the universe? i dont know, because we want to. does that question really need to be answered?
