personally arnold schwarzenegger helped get workers comp insurance to a sane level here in caleeefonnia. when grey davis was in office State Fund was the only game in town & they would pay off any bullshit workers comp claim. we had a guy pretend to fall & hurt himself. he called a bullshit tv lawyer who made up all this shit about him losing consciousness. we knew he was full of shit. my employees knew he was full of shit and all took statements. the doctor here knew he was full of shit. but then the tv lawyer took him to his corrupt doctor 60 miles away to file a bullshit report. they paid the asshole $20k. our premiums were through the roof. after schwarzenegger took office all that shit changed. our premiums went WAY down & well, a month ago we had a guy claim he hurt himself (the minute we had to lay him off. -we're in construction. it's in the shitter.) it was obviously bullshit. the doctor knew it. case closed. -for the record i'm an independent as well. i don't believe in political parties and both sides are full of crooks. but, from a small business perspective the red team definitely helps us out more. another example of tax breaks for small business is being able to depreciate up to $100k in equipment per year. because of that, one year we were able to replace our 40 yr old manual 6 blade saw with a brand new semi robotic 6 blade saw. we paid $149,000 for it, in cash. being able to depreciate 100k of it that year on our taxes helped us afford to buy it. the following year we bought 2 brand new forklifts at $60k a piece. cash. again the tax depreciation helped. also, even if that's all they ever did, they're not trying to willingly make me their official paper-pusher as much as the democrats. now i believe something should be done with healthcare but i don't believe a person's employer necessarily should provide it. though we do for some of our employees right now. usually they just turn it down. i offered them FULL COVERAGE BLUE CROSS. we're talking $10 copays for primary care physician & $100 copay for emergency. i offered this to them for $60 a month (i paid the rest!) and they would NOT take it. they'd rather go sit in county and use the ER as their primary care physician every time one of their kids gets a cold. it's just the mentality. & don't tell me they can't afford it either. one of the guys who turned it down was known for spending $200 a week minimum on backyard cock fights.

he has the biggest messiah complex since Bono. though i give bono props for all he's done in africa over the years, even giving GWB SOME semblance of redemption (not saying any of the atrocities against the planet he's committed will ever be excusable) by convincing him to forgive some african debt as well as to commit to help fighting aids and poverty by giving aid.

-obama likes to speak in large crowds as it contributes to his cult of personality. much like stalin, hitler, or any of those leaders who would rather speak from a pedestal on high in a unilateral fashion where they cannot be stopped or questioned or called out on their bullshit. he is afraid of true confrontation, which is why he at first resisted postponing the debate to go help with the bailout package.

even if it WAS a stunt by mc cain to call him back to washington, he should have readily accepted the challenge, as a test, as an opportunity to actually prove how he can contribute to helping solve the nation's problems in a time of dire consequence and circumstance. he should have risen to the occasion if he was even half the leader he pretends to be. i can't believe how much people let him off the hook. or how much they say palin's let off the hook. palin has been treated terribly by the news media.

This is so true. especially with certain women. you know the type, self-absorbed, crazy bitches. i know this chick, gorgeous.. we became friends.. she'd be a bit intimidating. that's just her.. the minute i met her it started like that. though i was quick on my feet & neutralized it. all my life it's something i've been trying to learn & master.. to understand women.. anyways it would start one day when she'd 'warn' me she was 'feeling sick' on a night we were supposed to go to a concert. total PMS type behavior. she'd come to pick me up (yeah i have a DUI, whoops.) & bitch about me not being out the door on time, when i'd already waited an extra half hour for her to show up.. then the music i had one was 'too spastic'... etc. the next time she was in a bad mood bc she had a 'bad day', & then pretty soon, every time we hung out, that's just how she was: a raging bitch. & me being a peace-loving guy & missing the girl who was sweet & funny & animated & fun to be around would want to keep the peace by appeasing her. big mistake. the more i tried it seemed the less satisfied she was. no we weren't even dating. i'd make deals with her since i can't drive that if she'd drive or give me a ride i'd cover her drinks or gas or whatever (we have a lot of mutual friends & to get out to see them was murder on me since i coudln't drive) & she'd pick me up & complain that i was 8 miles out of the way, etc.

anyways i realized the pattern... i mean, no matter what i said or did, i was somehow an idiot because of it.. whatever i chose to do, was either too fast, too slow, too boring, too crazy, you get the idea. so i realized no matter what i did this would always be the case & figured i was just best off no longer dealing with her.

so one day came where she had a 'proposition' for me.. -basically one that would take hours and yield almost no profit, yet her own stripper math theorized it would be a lucrative proposition. at that point she denied ever intending to share the money & accused me of trying to take advantage of her. i kept my cool with her.. but this time since i figured her out it was different..

basically, once i STOPPED trying to figure her out, was when i was finally starting to. since i was finally aware of her bullshit i would call her out on it or just not dignify it with an argument. i realized she was trying harder to start an argument. i asked her if she cared about what bothered me because she was being my friend, or was she trying to start a fight? she was all over the place. at first i was being 'insensitive' & that she felt friends should talk about things. once i started to explain things that were bothering me she just said 'i don't remember', not -'i don't remember, but i'm sorry if i did do those things' like a normal person. when she said she didn't remember i said 'hey i'm not making this up' & she said 'i'm not calling you a liar. i said 'no but you're not apologizing either'. i responded calmly & quickly & in an amused manner. truly amused, i dind't need to fake anything. she was just all over the place & it was almost hilarious once i realized how clear all this was. it went like this & finally she gave up. oh god that felt so sweet.

-i didn't talk to her for 6 months. the funny thing is we're really good friends now. i didn't do anything ugly to tell her to fuck off, and by not dignifying her with that final argument i didn't let her do anything too blatant to offend me. i let that silent time allow her to wonder if i might have just thought she was a crazy idiot. i also used that silence to let her own friendships with our other mutual friends go south.

the funny thing is she's an awesome chick. ever since then she's been VERY cool, thoughtful, considerate, & respectful. she's being the girl i first met. she respects me as well. we make an awesome team when we go out (that's a really long story actually).

In testing for radioactivity they are NOT conducting strip- or cavity searches nor your search engine history or phone records, nor monitoring anything, other than levels of radioactivity. This practice in & of itself is what this country NEEDS as part of REAL security. & in regards to us 'knowing' about it.. I don't care if I KNOW they are testing for radioactivity. How obnoxious that would be to be driving along the freeway to see signs saying 'warning, you are being scanned for radioactivity'. In fact I'd be more offended by that, as one could perceive that as fear-mongering and additional 'theatre' as psychological civil obedience conditioning. There's really no reason for me to know, and if our government is TRULY trying to protect me as they clearly are in this case I can objectively understand. Now, this is not to say that I don't want to know about OTHER types of surveillance, especially video, or believe that other types of surveillance, especially warrantless wiretapping, aren't intrusive, unconstitutional, and really just ways for introduce new domestic control under the guise of national security.
