I had an issue a few months back where I left a voicemail after exhausting all other avenues of contact.
I called every department in their phone tree in their US office. I emailed their US office. I emailed their canadian office. I faxed their US office. I tried calling their canadian office but it wouldn't accept calls from my area code. I left a voicemail at their US office.
You know who called me back? The guy with the fax machine! Screw voicemail. I rather call a few dozen times before you pick up than leave a voicemail.
Then there's these; "I'm sorry, but the person you called has a voice mailbox that has not been set up yet, Goodbye." They make up more than half of the people that have voicemail enabled. They just CBA to set it up or turn it off.
Voicemail is fully disabled on all of our lines if you need something call back or text.
If you won't accept a call or text from me I wouldn't do business with you either unless you were my only option.
I think you're measuring wrong maybe you're measuring the wattage of the inside fan? I just don't see getting a 2.3kw unit down to 85 watts with a compressor and fan running.
The only other "internet" i'm aware of running in parallel with the internet is Internet2 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/... That organization that seems to think universities should have obnoxiously fast internetwork connections. Well I suppose it was obnoxious a few years ago I suppose a 100Gbps line isn't that great shared among a few thousand students anymore.

For whatever reason it's a widely accepted and any less than 3 offenses people will try to defend them driving drunk but by the fourth offense at least imho it's indefensible.
Something should have been done after the first three you shouldn't be able to get to four without a lot of dedication.
Wonder how long till it's like that here. Imho it's going to have to be like that where the percentage is near inconsequential or the gov't is just going to have to cover it for the US to go cashless.
I think they should cover it since they want everyone to go cashless and they will pretty much eliminate the cost of constantly replacing cash and coins.
Second hand smoke directly affects the health of other people. Smoking? Aside from the ever increasing taxes and more places you aren't allowed to smoke not much is being done about it. Smoking is currently falling out of favor to vaping due to lower cost, better variety, lower health risks and fewer restrictions on usage by location. As to cigarette smokers the world is their ashtray as shown by the large number of cigarette butts found everywhere.
Cars? We aren't even close to having issues with this except where emission standards are concerned.
Alcohol? We've been over this prohibition was a spectacular failure I don't think anyone wants to try that again we are still slowly overturning alcohol bans county by county today. In a couple years we will even be able to buy full strength beer and wine at walmart here thanks to the passage of SQ792.
Healthy diet? What you mean that BS that they keep trying to push for the school lunches? There is not really much of a push to restrict what is to be sold as food there are however some states doing things like a soda tax to try to get people to cut down on the sweets some. but I don't see anyone trying to force healthy diets partly because that's actually a fairly difficult subject.
Remember how wrong the food pyramid turned out to be? Someone would have to define what would actually considered a healthy diet and then in 10 years they would have to redo it because of how many people died following their lobbyist written healthy diet.
Yes I think due to the pool of insured drivers decreasing the cost of insurance will go up.
I was referring to cars. People drive motorcycles for the experience or for the lower cost so I think it's unlikely we will see a self driving motorcycle I just don't think there is a market for it even if you made one.
I think alternate transportation like motorcycles bicycles and whatever else will become much more popular as insurance rises on cars and safety of alternate modes of transportation improves as a result of fewer human driven cars.

I still quite like it. On the older ipads (like the ipad 4 i'm using now) you can only pick up t-mobile's EDGE service so 200MB is effectively unlimited.
On the newer ipad's (like an ipad air 2 I had the chance to play with) you can burn through the whole 200MB in about 40 seconds if your not careful.

I think your vehicle should be taken from you and not returned after you get to 4 DWIs. Same with texting while driving.
This is in addition to all the standard mandatory counseling and jail time they normally get at that stage.

I'm less concerned about the decision than what it shows about the power of our voice as US citizens.
