  2. Is this different... on Pliable Solar Cells on a Roll · · Score: 1

Without even glancing at the article (this IS /.) I'm curious how this is different than the rollable flexible solar cells that have been on the market forever.

I can buy them at canadian tire, thats how common they are. Product # 11-1575-0 for example. (might neet to enter a postal code, v1p1c7 works.)

Maybe they are more efficient or something? These seem about the same as a rigid solar panel for the size. More expensive though obviously.

FINE, I just looked at the article..seems the only advantage is they are expected to be dirt cheap. I've heard that before. I'm still waiting to wallpaper my house in transparent OLED film :)

Ah well, gonna dig thru those comments for fixes, after reinstalling fresh.

This is amazingly fast and usefull software. I use it on my NTFS 160gb drive. Its basically a gui version of locate, except the database updates in about 5 seconds, even the first time. I think it might even track changes to file locations in real time.

Searching is, as usual for locate, insant.

It also has a checkbox to replace windows find for winkey-F and F3 in windows explorer.

I cant go on enought about how fast and good this prog is. Much faster/better than even the *nix original.

I say mostly done right because I'm not sure if there is a way to exchange pub/priv keys in person or thru any other way than just adding someone to your list. This may make it possible for someone to trick you into adding the wrong person, then doing a man in the middle attack on the diffie hellman exchange. I dont work or am at all associated wiht them, but this is a perfect time to mention Secway's Simp.

    www.secway.fr

There is simp for yahoo messenger, msn messenger, icq, and AIM. There is also a symmetric key proxy only version for linux/unix/bsd.

Simp provides very strong encryption for your chatting. It uses a 2k RSA public/private key arrangement to authenticate, and over the RSA link it exchanges a AES-128 symmetric key.

There is no concievable way to break this, so you can be pretty sure your conversation is -totally- private if you do your key exchange properly (in person or some other way so you know you're talking to the right person)

Simp is totally free (while there is a pro version you pay for wiht more features, simp 'lite' is nag free)

For voice skype is also a good option and uses nearly the same key arrangments as simp. You can IM with skype as well as send files(file sending is unencrypted in simp lite, need simp pro for encrypted file xfer) and chat, and it is all encrypted with AES-256. It uses a RSA key when you add someone, but not sure how you can exchange keys in person if privacy is a must.

Sorry for the rambling tone of the post :D
