If only there was some way to make the computer not able to run as root during normal use. Maybe make linux harrass you if you spend more than 10mins in root, have it pop up a message every minute or so.

This way the average user will have motivation to simply make a non root account (make this part of the default install process. Set a root password and create a non root account. Something like windows's "enter your name" or something..could make it fill in the name automagically or simply log in automatically in a kind of single user mode.)
Either way, kind of forcing the average joe to putt around in non-root would probably go a long ways towards making the computer more secure.

The thing is..you take an image at a certain resolution and if you wanna make it bigger, you have to get the information from somewhere. Nothing can help that.
There is no 'loss free' digital zoom. The optics provide so much zoom and thats that. Any more and you are just using algorithms to enlarge the already captured image. You will lose quality.
The problem is not that the picture gets more blurry really..although it may look like that. When a picture of say 0.4 MP is enlarged to 2MP or similar..the processor has to intelligently 'guess' on what colour pixel should be between the pixels it already has information for. The information just isnt there.
But guess what, that wouldnt happen. As as been clearly shown this term..doesnt matter what the current governement does. People are gonna vote for their team no matter what. Their team does shitty things, lies to them, etc..it doesnt matter.

Actually, you cant get a better quality amp than a class A amp. You will get near perfect signal reproduction. Admittedly you will get better linearity if you use a multi-stage amp with feedback, but yeah.
Power 'handling' wont be low but power 'efficiency' will be crappy since the transistor will always be biased in its ON state. Therefore it will dissipate power even when no signal is beeing pass through. Other than that its power dissipation for a given signal will be the same as for any other amp except class d:)

Also note that fair use in some countries (like canada) includes downloading songs from the internet and burning them, or even just burning copies of all your friend's music.

Downshifting wouldnt have worked in this case because the throttle was stuck WFO.
If the brakes go out, but you still have throttle control, sure, gear down.
If the throttle is stuff open, best thing to do is turn the key to the point juust off but not all the way off so your steering lock engages. Then you wont have power steering but you will have a couple presses of the brakes. Hit the brakes and dont let go..you'll stop.

I agree here. Half-life is still the best single player game i've played on the pc. VERY immersive storyline. Amazing AI specially for the time.
