    I would have downloaded GIMP and donated to the open source project, but I never even knew it existed because microsoft put paint.exe in my Accessories menu. Oh the humanity!

    I just don't get it. How can mozilla, a non-profit organization sue someone claiming they have a monopoly? They are basically asking for free money. They are not meant to make money but they are suing a company because that company does something that limits the amount of money they can make? I just don't get it.

    yes the benchmarks do suck, they should add the following benchmarks to event it out a bit. 1. How long it takes to load GTA IV. 2. How long it takes to load MS Word. 3. How long it takes to compile a large project with MS Visual Studio 2005.

    Seriously, and if it takes more that 1 GB of my 500 GB hard drive then there's something wrong. Why don't they benchmark some more important timings like how long it takes to shutdown, how long it takes to paste text in an email and how long it takes to run a disk defrag.

    I think there's probably a big difference between making a rocket which can reach escape velocity and being able to target a specific location thousands of miles away.

    that's something I've been thinking about, the costs/hazards of wind power, at least environmentally. I don't think solar will be a problem, but if there was a massive implementation of wind farms, what kind of impact would that have on the environment. The wind doesn't just pass through unmodified, it causes decreases in the wind speed, which may possibly cause issues, but I don't really know, just something I was thinking about.

    That's great that they may have a way to solve the issue of nuclear waste, but that doesn't solve the main problem which is that you average person is afraid the power plant will blow up and destroy everything around it for hundreds of miles.

    The last thing that I want is to be in a union with all of these stupid morons that I work with. They couldn't code themselves out of a wet paper bag. I end up doing all of their work for them, please don't make me unionize with them so that I will be paid the same as them. They don't deserve the wages they make already. Unions may fit in a job that monkeys can do, such as assembling cars, but it doesn't fit in a job where you are required to think and reason.
