Please don't call attention to it. My custom mods for forums wouldn't work without it. I could live without it if only everyone used Firefox or IE had some kind of extension mechanism like FF does.
A basic Linksys router just Plugs & Plays, and the SPI firewall is ON by default. It just does it transparently, and it is very effective.
All someone has to do to fix most recurring problems is to get behind a modern router, but unfortunately most people don't understand why they need it when you suggest it.
Anybody remember those wide plastic tops/UFO's that spin with a strip of LED's going from the center to the side that display messages? You can (or could) get one at Wal-Mart and they have an electronic compass.
Try putting a magnet near one if you don't believe me. It even lights up if you have the disk still and spin a magnet around it.
So a coil of wire makes an electronic compass that will work fine on a spinning disk.
1. What would have been a better response to Middle East Terrorists destroying the 2 tallest building in the world, right in NYC? 2. I shudder to think of what Kerry's response would have been.
I believe this definitely lends credibility to young earth theories. If you have soft tissue in a dinosaur bone still soft and flexible, I think it isn't that old. Simple.
There is no need to discuss how fast something rots. Everyone with a garbage can can tell you, and the rot-rate isn't any different for a T-Rex.
I didn't mean in space tech specifically, but in general. Just today a "successful" fusion was announced, and they figured out how to blind US satellites.
Anybody that can setup a fully redundant OC-48 and redundant files storage can probably set up good security. Now whether or not they keep it patched is another matter.
By law, the government and your employer are the only people you must give your SSN. A lot of places require businesses to provide services without you giving them an SSN. Try it next time you sign up for a bank account.
What?!? $24 is ridiculous. A standard NiMH battery uses about 10mA at 1.41V during an overnight charge; surely a USB cable can provide that to charge stander NiMH batteries. And overnight charging does not require an end-of-charge sensor, so this is way to expensive.
Edison invented a voting machine that worked fine. The government didn't use it at the time because it was electronic (not digital), but they have gotten over that now, so use it.
"Still, there's one caveat in this deal, which is hidden all the way at the bottom of the article. YouTube claims it will use some sort of tracking technology to spot people uploading Warner songs, and then pass them on to Warner to see if Warner "approves" of the video. That could be a problem, as it seems to go against the freewheeling nature of the YouTube community to have to run all such videos by Warner Music execs before deciding if they can actually be put on YouTube."

No, but you can turn on logging in the Administration tab!

But notice, it seems to work anyway.
But note that video games don't produce violence in kids, or train them to use guns.
Well, older cans that didn't have plastic liners didn't last as long. But a dino bone isn't sealed like a can.
A can of corn has had the bacteria removed. And it will only last about 30 years.
Ok, so Bush's response was bad. What would Kerry have done? Turn it over to the UN?
While I don't agree with everything he has done:
1. What would have been a better response to Middle East Terrorists destroying the 2 tallest building in the world, right in NYC?
2. I shudder to think of what Kerry's response would have been.
While I appreciate our President's trying to protect us from terrorists, as I believe he really is, I like my freedoms more. Freedom isn't free.

(So much for my karma)

Hopefully this will put the US slightly ahead in space tech. China is making the US look pretty bad.
This is nice, but I would rather stick to my good old cassettes then deal with all the DRM.

No, your employer is supposed to report that to the IRS. (Unless you work for the bank.)

You can see it operate. I think it is cool.

Much as I don't like it myself, it is a good thing. Thieving needs to stop.

Look up the new book "The Game Maker's Apprentice" on amazon.
I use QBASIC on XP Pro. What is the problem here?
