heh, I actually do use a trackball exclusively, and it is true that you turn your sensitivity up quite a bit more then with a mouse, however you also have a great deal more fine motor control in your thumb then in your wrist/fingers, thus making a high sensitivity no real problem.
I would LOVE to see a controller like this simply because I I would like a way to ditch my keyboard for gaming.
Those people that go to YOUTUBE for HEALTH ADVICE?
Kind of like the age old: Mr. Idiot has joined #IRC Idiot: Hey guys, I hate this stuff 2 hours ago and my eyes are starting to turn green, any ideas? IRC1: Go to a Dr. IRC2: Go to a Dr. IRC3: Go to a Dr. IRC4: Call poison control THEN go to a Dr. IRC5: Take pictures and post them for us!

Let em die.
(no, I am not ACTUALLY suggesting eugenics by not educating these idiots, it is just tempting)
Interesting, The digital distribution that Netflix DOES have is not overly encumbered with DRM (My mum can use it with 0 problems), ran fine when I used it, and has a relatively decent selection.
Yup, the Costco Bundles are very nice. I bought a bundle a few months after release (I think it was circuit city): an extra wiimote/nunchuk, Zelda, and Red Steel (Yes, I did want both games).
honestly, they are not THAT hard to get a hold of. A few tips: 1) Walk into your local EB/GameStop/bestbuy/whatever and ask when they expect to get the next shipment (day and time), if you don't know just ask when their weekly shipments come in. Be there around noon (generally) and ask if they have received the shipment.
2) Product forums. I found my Wii by regularly checking the "Customer Discussions" area on Amazon.com's Wii page, people would always be posting up when an online retailer had one in stock.
3) If you live in/near NYC check with the Nintendo World Store. They still receive large shipments multiple times a week.
If all else fails? buy a DS, there are better games out for it then the Wii:P
Like the older N800, the N810 boasts a 4.13-inch 800x480 color touchscreen, 128MB of RAM, 256MB of flash, and two SD card slots supporting cards up to 8GB apiece.
It supports "miniSD and microSD with extender" (aka that little delie you get to turn a mini or micro into an actual SD)
So, 16GB if you are game to shell out around $100 per 8GB card:)
All in all. A nifty toy. My brother has an older one and it IS nice, I just can't justify the price on them my self.
It might have something to do with fear of lawsuits, but I am willing to bet it is fear of something else. Like boycotts, and a public image that they don't want associated with their product. This is the same reason why most major retailers will not sell AO rated games.
They likely don't fear lawsuits, but they do fear all the parents in the area deciding that that store sells things they think completely inappropriate, and thus don't shop there.
Kinda like why Block buster and NetFlix don't have Pron.
EP2 is worth at least $20, and might actually be worth the $30 they are charging (supposedly it is much longer then EP1, and I was content with $20 for EP1). TF2 I am content with a $30 price tag, and I am (probably) content with a $20 price tag for Portal (depending on how long it is).
All in all, I will probably get much more play time out of this then I did out of BioShock (And I am also content with the $50 spent on BS). Especially with the amount of time I spend playing mods with my GF.
Steam runs perfectly fine on 2K (I was running 2K up untill shortly after Vista came out when I switched to XP for a few games that are 'XP only')
My old system ran Steam effortlessly, My new one has problems (all of the games end with XP tellign me they crashed, kinda odd, haven't poked at it yet).
Old system specs: aprox 2ghz AMD CPU (don't remember off the top of my head) 1 Gig Ram decent graphics card (but nothing overly impressive)
if your system approaches mine, I would check out other things for beign the problem instead of Steam tbh
the other option is to order EP2 from a NEW steam account and just give your pops the old one (Assuming you havn't already bought other games on that account).
If you do have other games you want to keep then you can give him HL2 and EP1
Bah, I forgot to add: Any one else preordering: make sure you set TF2 to Preload NOW so that you are all set up in time for the beta (even if you tick off all of the games to install they don't install any of them, so you have to manually tell it to install peggle extreme and TF2)
Sure, I am sorta miffed that the black box is not offered on Steam, but what ever, the Orange box is still cheaper then EP2/Portal/TF2. so my GF gets her own copies of HL2 and EP1 (now I can get her to play Zombie master with me:P)
My god, man, we're talking about pirates here! High seas battles, raped women and children, missing gold, plunder at the bottom of the sea, "arg matey" and worse!
Those cretins are almost as bad as terrorists.
Unless you want to have your next sailing trip interrupted by these cannon-toting freaks, you'd better support a war!
God, if it was anything like this I would be downloading and distributing as fast as I could!
I will post up that De Blob is a fun little game. Not much behind it, but fun. Basicly jsut a nice little free (as it is for the computer) time killer I have been playing for the past few days.
You can currently grab the game over at fileplanet (and probably some other places for that mater).
Well, all of these websites proclaim that unsolicited links are against the rules and are a banable offense.
But then again, do you really think they are going to ban some guy that just got that a few thousand impressions?
Honestly, bricking has NOT lost any connotation, this is just a poorly worded headline.
hell, only reason I clicked it was "DAMN, and exploit that will fry a laptop completely?!"
Then I read that it simply messes up some Windows files....

Or though the quick and easy way of not using Adobe. /me points over to Foxit or any of the other free readers.

Actually some one at NASA just read Heinlein's "Space Cadet" one to many times.
So, commenting about the fact that at least we know it is effective would be out of line with you?
Lies.

set hl.exe to low priority, this should fix it.
more on it here.
WTF is Twing-Twang? And do I really want to see that on my new HD-TV?
Yes.
Hey for 3 reviews, it is amusing. Admittedly, it is only 3 reviews. Let us see if they keep it up.
Just? JUST???!!!

Make me a portable version of this and I can finally have my friken LIGHTSABER!
"Everything's better if you do it on a huge scale, and automate it," [Virgil Griffith] says with a grin.
Why do we do what we do?
Because We Can.
The media DOESN'T like talking about violence in video games? What news sources do they use?
