I see that a few people have commented on wrist braces to help with typing and reduce pain. Can anyone say that they have used wrist braces and have they helped? Any kind of braces in particular?

My Story
I switched to OSX because of Linux
Back in college, I used to use windows and was pretty good with it. Not an admin or anything, but much better than your average user.
Then a friend got me to switch to linux and I loved it. I loved the stability and the really great ideas it incorporated. But after three years, I began to feel that it was way, way beyond me. There was so much to learn, and for the first time in my life, I didn't want to learn it.
I know a lot about computers and fixing problems, but suddenly, I didn't want to spend hours configuring a new printer or scanner. These things were no longer enjoyable to me.
I wanted to switch, but I knew I could never go back to windows.
The only choice: OSX.
I bought a iBook three months ago and I'm very pleased. Almost as stable as linux but 10,000x more user friendly. For someone who doesn't want to know all the details anymore, but is still a power user, I think it's a good choice.

Or you can go ahead and see how many people bid on your 'labtop computers,' 'camras,' and 'earings.'"
I have a friend who makes money doing this. He buys mispelled items at a low price and then resells them on ebay with the correct spelling.

Why?
For example, those who think they are overweight ask a higher price to step on a scale in front of their peers, than those of average weight.
Why? It's not like your friends can't see that you are fat.

Slightly off topic but...
Starcraft had a decent level editor, but what I really wanted to say was that the single person game had some of the best levels I'd ever seen. Not because the maps were unusually good, but because the builders had a strong story run through them all.
If you do go on to build levels, please don't forget the story. It is one of the reasons I loved Starcraft so much. Warcraft III on the other hand has a horrible and boring story line, and as a result, I haven't the desire to finish the single player campaign.

Re:Lifestreams
I would love to see a gui interface based on black and white: "I left my pictures by the barn, my email from my family are near the beach, and the porn is under a rock near the house.
I like the idea. Not for power users, but for the average person. It reminds me of memory palaces

Re:Cannonfodder
I wonder if Ireland will take me back...
They almost certainly will. Ireland has the most lax immigration laws in the European union. It's trivially easy to get citizenship. And as an added bonus, with Irish citizenship you can live and work anywhere in the European Union. That's what I'm doing now. -

Here is the origional story on slashdot:
There is a new virus out by the name of Novarg which can infect all Windows versions from 95 to XP. It has two interesting features - first, in addition to mass mailing, it also distributes itself via the P2P network Kazaa. Second, it can perform a denial-of-service against www.sco.com. Details at Symantec and F-Secure, although neither seems to have finished their analysis." Other readers have sent in links to coverage at CNET and Security Response, and Russ Nelson provides a sample message.
So tell me again, what new information did we learn between now and then. Looks like slashdot just loves SCO stories to me, even if they are repeats.

Re:TFN Episode III "Review from the future"!
TFN's Episode 3 Review
A fictional work by Joshua Griffin would be dated April 2005
You didn't need to tell us it was fiction. The 5 stars at the end gave it away.

Re:Not a lie
Gates uses MacOS, Torvalds uses Windows, and Jobs uses Linux. They're a bunch of swingaas babyyy!
Actually, I would make sense for them to have an almost-primary computer be the competing OS. This way they'd have to get used to it and see the good points as well as the bad.

Not well thought out if you need everyone to agree
"It's a pretty well thought-out idea, but the success of it hinges on everybody in the ecosystem getting involved,"
Sounds like all those well thought-out ideas to stop spam, that simply need everyone to agree on something new.

Re:Need more "current" and "pop" artists involved
The grandparent is not putting down pop music, just saying that if Britney Spears walked away from the RIAA, it would bring a lot of positive attention to alternatives. I for one agree.

Re:economics
When performers no longer need the distribution and advertising services they provide, RIAA and the big labels will go away, or at least shrink to manageable size.
I think we are getting pretty close to the distribution channels they provide no longer being necessary. The internet has done a lot to help solve that problem. It's a lot easier to do with music, than many other things, say books for example. There is no (practicle) iPod for book.
Advertising, on the other hand, will always require a lot of money :(
