Re:No Surprise hereWhy do you think this? Have you ever been to an IRS office? The IRS has some of the newest systems out there. Most if not all employees work on a computer each day they are at work. I don't work for the IRS but I do interact with them professionally. I saw a lot of contemporary machines on desks - at least >= 2 gig pentiums. Machines that you would find at any Fortune 500 company. Machines that may be better than the one you are using. They interact with some of the best database machines out there - Terradata for example.
There is a surprise here. The IRS has what is known as "title" data, it is in the USC under section 24 or "Title 24" data. They are very strict and EVERYONE that has access to their data has to go through training every year on it. They are not kidding, they make sure everyone has completed the training or they will stop you from accessing it. I have seen them do it. There is a test on it and they do audit. I have had the completion nazi's come after me more than once.
Obviously they have a problem with understanding what they learned and how to apply it to daily activities. I know I have found professionally that if someone is having trouble, they will do anything to get it working again. They ask very few questions. Obviously you don't do this to someone that has a clue, there are plenty of clueless ones around. Just look at Mitnick's book on social engineering. Obviously they are aware of the problem and they are trying to do something about it.
You couldn't get me... besides it wouldn't matter. You see I have this guy in Nigeria that sent me a letter about making a bunch of money for helping him, his father died a year ago.... Just kidding. Check out http://www.ebolamonkeyman.com/

Re:Great Stuff
there are many pictures like this on the Ebola Monkey Man site.
This site has stories of scammers being had along with pictures they sent of themselves holding up signs.
featured scammers include Ima Dildo, Mr. Bukakke, Father Will U. Tuchme, Ivannastiff Kockupmianus, Bendme Overand Dome, Will U Phystme, Ima Wayne-Kerr, and of course, Phill Miazz
My favorite picture is the one with the scammer posing under an umbrella holding up a sign that says "It's Raining Men".

Re:Two wrongs don't make a right!
One of the funniest 419 scam-related sites that, as far as I can see, hasn't been mentioned yet is Ebolamonkeyman. If you haven't seen it be sure to check it out (if you want to see your favorite porn starts, uh... I mean celebrities scam scammers, that is).

Re:How to scam the scammers
Fun, but no one bets the Ebola Monkey Man at baiting and punishing 419 scammers. Don't believe me -- check the link. He has pics of 419 scammers holding signs ("Mr. Bukkake", "Father Will U. Touchme") -- comedy gold, I tell ya.

For some good 419 baiting try..
for good 419 sport try Ebola Monkey Man (n.b. site is in no way racist despite the name)
-
ebolamonkeyman time!
Of all the fallout from the 419 spamming, I dont believe anything is funnier than Ebola Monkey Man. Good way to kill productivity this fine Monday morning.

U.S. Representatives Torpedo UN Information Summit

Re:419
From reading the interview of a 419 scammer on ebolamonkeyman.com, it sounds like these are mostly big operations set up by people with a lot of money. So, these people may be from any part of the world, but the operations definitely take place in Nigerian, probably because law enforcement there doesn't give that much of a fuck.

heh heh
Quite possibly funniest 419 image ever.

Re:Further SitesTheres a thread like that on EbolaMonkeyMan.com. When Scammer Meets Scammer
Black is the scammer, Blue is the Vigilante
-
This is another site along the line.
Just here. They have managed to pull some pretty funny cons on those people, but I personally don't like the way they finish them. Check out yourselves and judge. They even have a guy who supposedly works for the scammers telling his story (in pretty bad English, but oh well...)

Re:Good news, but...
Check out The Ebola Monkey Man. Not only is it extremely funny, but it shows just how widespread the problem is, and just how far these fucks will go to try and steal your money.

Re:The worst of it all...
Cute, but see how the experts do it. Don't click there until you have some spare time and a wan for a riotous laugh. Father Will U. Tuchme is my favorite.
