Cellphones as entry ticketsWhat else can you add to a cell phone?
How about using cell phones as entry tickets to a Cricket match. From TFA:
The first match of the India-Australia cricket Test series in Bangalore next month will have hi-tech ticketing with the launch of 'Mobile-Ticketing,' a new service that enables cricket fans across the world to book the tickets online. But thats half the fun, since the tickets would be delivered directly to their mobile phones. the service is managed by Spice . The service delives the ticket as a special barcode which can then be scanned by a barcode reader. Sounds simple. Wired reported a similar story a while back.
More details here.

I dont think so.
I think it's got one camera pointing forward and one pointing backwards so it takes two pictures at different times.
from here
"This the first satellite to carry two cameras to take 3-D images and the images to be taken by CARTOSAT-1 will have a spatial resolution of 2.5 metre and the cameras will cover a swath of 30 km and they are mounted on such way that near simultaneous imaging of the same from different two angles is possible," he added. The cameras are steerable across the direction of the satellite's movement to facilitate the imaging of an area more frequently.
I think "near simultaneous" is the critical wording in that description. -
Above is a Troll posting AC
Mod the parent DOWN.
It only shows he knows nothing of the Indian President. Here are some facts so people can see for themselves:
Some of his speeches
A description of a personal encounter
His own website describing his aspirations
A few of his accomplishments
Finally, for those REALLY interested, here's his auto-biography -
Re:In India too:: Supreme Court comes to rescue
Recently the Supreme Court of India asked the Union government, the telcos and the lamers who are responsible for the calls to cut it out or face the music. Some guy had made a Public Interest Litigation in the Supreme Court and has also cited the laws that are prelavent in US, including the concept of DNC Registry. More information can be had from here. As expcted ppl are quite happy. The cellphone operators have also started to do the needful and block such calls, which also includes allowing subscribers to block phone numbers on demand.

Background on Mola Ram aka Amrish Puri
Not many know the actor who played Mola Ram is a Bollywood actor who has the badguy act down to the dot. Some info on how this talented actor landed this role can be found here
However the first time I saw Temple of Doom, I specifically didnt enjoy the manner in which Speilberg sought to portray the culture and traditions of India and Hinduism. Thanks to movie such as Temple of Doom, a big part of Western Hemisphere thought this sad portrayal was still true of India until the Indians started stealing their jobs :).
But heck, its a movie and though not as good as the other two, it is still enjoyable. I hope Speilberg and Ford gets around to making one more and I wouldnt complain if they threw Sir Sean in to the mold as well.. -

Re:Freedom of speech
Freedom of Speech and Expression is already built into the Constitution of India. I forgive you for so thoughtlessly assuming that it should'nt.
And here is the mandatory link:
Freedom of Speech and Expression
I would like to especially point out (from the article):
In the interest of sovereignity and integrity: This ground was inserted as a ground by the 16th amendment to the Constitution in the year 1963, to enable India to combat cries for secession from organizations and their activities which could not be restricted otherwise.
This was not part of the original constitution! -
Evacuate Earth, now!!!Don't you see? It's a coverup! Doug Adams isn't dead - he obviously had to leave Earth because it is about to be blown up (by the Vogons, who else?) to make way for an intergalactic information superhighway. Probably the only reason we're still alive right now is that the Vogons are busy arguing on the bridge of the spaceship about whether to destroy the entire solar system at once, or one planet at a time.
And if the coverup isn't enough proof for you, the fact that the dolphins are leaving should clinch it.
Leave now, while you still can!

Names --> Common WordsIt seems that Geller's name is becoming a general term for "psychic", at least in Japan.
It reminds me this story: a few months ago Dr. Bernard Lewinisky (Monica's father) got upset when the TV Show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit used "lewinsky" as a colloquialism for oral sex. Annoying, but probably not actionable (at least under US law; I don't know about Japan) given proof that the name is in general use as a common word.
