Re:Wireshark
That strategy has been in place since the time of Echelon being the program everyone was worried about.
I would say that everyone though needs to use a slightly different list every time they put out the list, otherwise the list would be immediately recognized and ignored.
Here is are some examples of the old Echelon list.

gelatinous human-dna stuff
Reminds me of an episode of Unsolved mysteries where green goop blanketed a whole town one night. People got sick from it. Tests revealed there was human blood cells in the goop.
Can't find any pictures, but here's a collection of news articles about it: http://www.rumormillnews.com/cgi-bin/archive.cgi?read=187500

Shooting one's own foot.
There are literally thousands of professional engineers and scientists clamoring for revised NIST reports, a new investigation, and an official explanation of the obviously ludicrous 9/11 commission report.
As of course are all the families of the deceased.
Claiming that the "official" story has any validity at this point really bespeaks of gross ignorance regarding the entire subject. I don't know a single rational person with even a smidgen of physics understanding that would even begin to suggest that a plane and a little jet fuel could somehow weaken the central columns of all three buildings.
All the "debunking" has been thoroughly debunked at this point. The giant media corporations are still rolling with the obviously false official story, and I can only scratch my head and wonder that ANYBODY still buys that nonsense.
The structural steel at the core of all 3 WTC buildings is incredibly strong. If you've ever worked with the stuff, you KNOW there is no way an aluminum can and some jet fuel could have ANY meaningful effect on it.
Not to mention this picture:
http://www.rumormillnews.com/pix3/pic87970.jpgThis simply DOES NOT HAPPEN due to stress fractures, random chance, airplane fuel, or any other reasonable explanation short of Thermite/Thermate or precision torching, neither of which have been discussed AT ALL in the "official" report.
Frankly, your ignorance needs to be eliminated. Read that AE911 site. It's CHOCK FULL of science, facts, math, and irrefutable evidence concerning that day and it's events.

Re:How long till the Tea partiers blame Obama?
Stopping flights, all over Europe? Pull the other one, mate. It's got bells on it. This is another dubious modeling outcome from the MET's GIGO simulations.
There was only one source that managed to stop the entire air-traffic in Europe. It was a mere computer simulation that came from the same jerks who are trying to convience the public of the CO2-scam since years.
The British MET-office took some data from the first hours(!)of the outbrak -- proceeded with their usual "gigo" (garbage in -- garbage out) -- and made one of their usual "predictions" -- that rarely turns out to be reality.
During all those next days this first data-set never got adapted, updated with actual data or even checked again.
Yesterday some European airline-managers were beginning to smell the rat and undertook first test-flights -- where they experienced no harm at all.

Re:health care
In every other country with a single payer system, you just go to a doctor and get treatment. In most countries you don't even have to fill out any paperwork. And they pay about half of what we do, and have the same life expectancy.
And there is rationing as well as waiting periods. "When Canadian Member of Parliament Belinda Stronach needed breast cancer surgery herself in 2007, she went to a California hospital and paid cash." "When Robert Bourassa, the premier of Quebec, needed cancer treatment, he went to the US to get it."
If Canada's health care is so great why are Canadian members of government coming to the US for surgery?
And there isn't rationing in the US right now? The difference is that Belinda Stronach would have gotten the surgery in Canada in a medically useful time-frame (perhaps not as soon as she wanted though), but a US citizen without either health insurance or money to pay out-of-pocket wouldn't be able to get the surgery. Unless of course they were on Medicare or Medicaid, but I suppose you would be against the very existence of such programs. Unless there was some specific treatment that wasn't available in Canada, but was available in the US (unlikely but possible) the same could be said for Robert Bourassa.
Oh and by the way, both of them could have done the same thing by going to the UK instead of the US. The UK has private for-profit healthcare providers, as well as a government-run system. Most probably, the main reason why they didn't go to the UK has to do with the difference in travel costs, not the difference between the level of medical care in the US and UK.
Meanwhile here in the US I as a student with no insurance had an accident and was Medivaced by helicopter from the accident scene to the hospital. I spent about a month in the hospital, some of that tyme in a coma. I was then transfered to a rehab house where I lived several more weeks. Afterwards I went to the hospital I was originally taken to for therapy twice a week for several more weeks. All together my medical bills, which none of the medical personnel or facilities were guarantied to be paid for, came to more than $120,000. Despite not being able to pay I got all that medical care anyway.
Falcon, the treatment was provided to you wasn't because of "The Market". It was provided to you because hospitals are required by law in the US to stablize and treat emergency cases until hospitalization is no longer medically required, regardless of the of the patient to pay. If that wasn't a legal requirement, many hospitals wouldn't have let you on their property, as few modern hospitals are non-profit.

Re:damn you, Scuttlemonkey!!!!interesting side note article dug up while searching for an answer: dodgy transactions implying (but not proving) foreknowledge of 9/11
ok: Conspiracy theorist site telling that side of the story : up to 160 billion, 200 million recovered, other valuables possibly missing, trucks found loaded with gold, etc. Obviously not the best source, but you get the idea of the story. Now lets try to find the truth: from Wikipedia
"One of the world's largest gold depositories was stored underneath the World Trade Center, owned by a group of commercial banks. The 1993 bomb detonated close to the vault, but it withstood the explosion, as did the towers."
Ok one of the worlds largest, so it should be in the same league as fort knox, which according to wikipedia has 147 million ounces, at $700 an ounce, which is roughly 100 billion dollars. OK so 160 billion is not unbelievable, and any less than about 50 billion would imply it wasnt one of the biggest, so I estimate between 50 and 160 billion in gold. even going on the low side of 50 billion, we have over 49 billion dollars worth of gold missing from the WTC (not a bad take for a crime, works out to works out close to $20 million per person killed, not a bad days work for a hitman. Yes I realise how offensive that is, and apologise. I'm outraged by this crime and saddened and horrified at the poeple who where murdered that day, and am trying to make a point.) see here for interesting story of finding the truck with the gold in it

Re:The Hills are Alive With the Sound of Gunfire
A simple search on Google will yeild the results you seek:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=WTC+9%2F11+PU T+options+AMR+UAL&btnG=Google+Search
Oddly enough, snopes claims this rumor is false:
http://www.snopes.com/rumors/putcall.asp
Then they go on to say that yes, there was unusual trading, but that it was explainable. But if that were the case, if the traders really do have an iron-clad alabi that it was just their good fortune, why was over $2.5 million in profits never claimed?
Also note that if these trades were done as part of some strategy connected with the generally declining stock market, then why wasn't Delta given the same PUT option treament as AMR and UAL?
Another doubter:

More cheers for the ALA!
While the story topic is nice, IMHO, the ALA's work in publicizing Ashcroft's demand that libraries remove information about certain US laws from their libraries is far, far more important of a public service!
Everyone's favorite tyrant AG John Ashcroft wanted ordered the American Library Association to destroy all copies of the federal laws on asset forfeiture and to prevent disclosure of their content. Thanks to quick action and a lot of publicity by the ALA and others, the fascists backed off. -
Re:Hm, interesting...While US dollars are the reserve currency in which oil is traded, all nations need to ensure that they have a fistful of dollars in reserve with which they can buy oil. This means that the US treasury can print and spend dollars and can get goods in return while being confident that most of these dollars are safely tied up in foreign national banks and will not be "cashed in" against the US reserves.
Some people have speculated that this was the reason the US went to war against Iraq. Iraq was intending to sell it's oil in euros rather than US dollars, and the US wanted to send a message that this can't be tollerated.
There are a couple of articles like This one (I don't know how reliable they are though).

More Followup:HERE and HERE and HERE
From Rumor Mill News:
Across the nation today reports were streaming in of unusual electrical occurrences and bizarre abnormal appliance failures.
From Ohio to Nevada and Washington State to Arizona, thousands of mystified citizens reported that, for no apparent reason, simple function appliances such as garage door openers, automatic gate latches and even some cell phones, appeared to fail simultaneously.
There has been no official comment on these reports.
In view of the quality of past official explanations of similar occurances anyway, it is highly doubtful that, were such comment to be forthcoming, they would serve to enlighten the nation's darkened garages and their equally "in the dark" owners.
This odd phenomena is apparently without precedent in scope.
As of this morning, reports are still surfacing from regions that have been affected. Details remain sketchy. I will attempt to stay abreast of related stories as they break.
In conjunction with this unusual event, an unprecedented chemtrail campaign appears to be underway. This, amid widespread reports of strange behavior among domestic and wild animals gives one cause to wonder just what kind of major future potentiality is getting set to emerge as a present reality. -
YES! (was: Re:Is the US government stupid?)
Oh come on, there are no weapons of mass destruction in Iraq. The USA has had a massive surveillance operation running for years, they have spy sattelites and planes, and they bugged the phone lines, and they gave their info to the UN inspectors, and the inspectors conducted 250 unannounced surprise raids on those places and still found nothing!
How much more proof do you need that Iraq does not have weapons of mass destruction?
Spamming them may be a good plan to waste enough of their time to delay their progress, but it sure isn't stopping them from using the ones they have now -- because they don't have any!
By the way: read this poll result in Portugal; more than 70% of the population think that the USA is the biggest threat to world peace today. 3% say it's Iraq, 1% say it's China. 12% say it's Israel.
All this warmongering will only make things worse. First of all, it gave North Korea a legitimate excuse to leave the nuclear proliferation treaty. After all, Bush said he will to preventive strikes against his enemies, and he said North Korea is part of the Axis of Evil, so he actually gave North Korea the only good excuse to build more weapons.
Bush should focus on rebuilding the economy he ruined so thoroughly, not on bombing Iraq and alienating Europe. Do you have any idea how frightened the South Koreans must be now, and all of that just because of a few dumb remarks from Mr. Bush?
