    This is a perfect example of me and Trailer Park Boys http://www.trailerparkboys.com/. I now have all of the DVDs, but what got me hooked was having a Canadian online friend introduce me to the show and link to some downloads (This was before YouTube).

    I'd rather have the DVDs as the download files were kinda badly encoded 7 or so years ago. Corner Gas is another one I plan on getting the DVDs for.

    I think the filter must have broken after the upgrade...I still saw that.

    Actually, I kind of miss the guy. It was so nice to see so many comments that agreed with each other. Say what you will about Katz, he united many of us Slashdotters in our distaste for his writing. Never have I seen so many ways to say STFU as in the comments for a JonKatz post.

    I always figured he finally got the hint and got a job that didn't encourage his delusions of grandeur. Now he's got a movie about how he got a dog smarter than he is. Or crazier - ol' Jon's a zany dude. I'm just disappointed in the casting. I would have picked this guy instead. (sorry Bubbles!)

    What about The Trailer Park Boys?
    They even show it (heavily edited) on BBC America in the U.S.

    No kidding, our tax money payed for a comedy show about Jebb Fink, "An American in Canada". I think it's one of the most honest opinions about Canada you can find and its hilarious, especially because it's from an outside perspective. It might be kind of hard to find, I don't think its got the same popularity as the Trailer Park Boys I'm a developer and sys-admin for a small company in Red Deer, Alberta.

    I'm aware of these guidelines, I'm just saying that they don't really have significant impact on what I end up seeing.

    But the original issue was one of Canadian TV censorship -- which to me is still pretty funny. For example, our uber-popular comedy Trailer Park Boys is coming to the US, except they're going to have to censor the show for American viewers. (There's lots of drug use and swearing on the show). There's obviously more censorship in the US than in Canada. Superbowl boobies?

    Canadian television has yet to produce a domestic hit television series
    im guessing you have never seen trailer park boys because that is by far a hit television series, it was currently been picked up by BBC America and it will start to be shown in the states, i dont remember another canadian tv series that has crossed the border
