No. It's not enough for Michael Hayden, former director of the NSA and CIA, either. In fact, none of the information Israel has is new. Good idea. The impact happens at about the position where the car is at 0:32 in that video. Note that before they even go under the highway they can clearly see what's beyond the overpass. The purple lights on the left are the concert venue. That video was recorded 3 days after the accident at around the same time, the weather reports for both days are substantially similar. A couple weeks ago my car was parked under that overpass and I was looking at the entire area. What you see in that video is much more representative of how normal human eyes see that area than the dark Uber video.

Of course, this all ignores the fact that the car was equipped with a variety of sensors which should have and did identify the person regardless of light.

Yes, but you will sell them with a floor full of batteries where the thickness of the floor determines the cost and range. You are not going to see a boot full of batteries like you do with EV conversions. The best way to deal with them it to cost them money. And the best way to do that is to keep them on the line as long as possible. I once held this attitude, but recently I have changed my opinion. The results are not limited to ads 'more attuned to my interests'. If Facebook knows I read science fiction, and shows me ads for science fiction, that's fine. But what about when they use the data to infer things I haven't shared? The "Target knew the girl was pregnant" story is a well known example. It is easy for them to infer a lot about us without our understanding that we are sharing it. If you are comfortable with that, so be it. For now, it isn't the end of the world even with the research about manipulating voters through ads. If they put a woman in a beer ad, I see what they did. How about the research that shows I am more likely to pay attention to a purple ad than a green one, or other manipulations I don't know about, all targeted at me specifically? Another problem is, we've seen how easy it is to de-anonymize "anonymized" browsing history. What if criminals had access to this data and used it to stalk me, or rob me? It's not that far off. Researcher have demonstrated how easy it is to get access to huge chunks of 'anonymous' browsing data. It's not that anonymous.

Ban it if you want... it just won't matter. If you boil down the statistics on the mass shootings you'll find that the US actually has normal to LOW numbers of mass shooting deaths.

True, our overall homicide figures are fairly high but they also correlate very strongly with inner city drug and gang violence which is unlikely to become less deadly because you ban legal guns. Keep in mind, the street gangs frequently use blackmarket guns already, the drug was has made very clear that hte government can't stop heroin much less guns, and the Cartels which are increasingly dominating this market are going to be heavily armed regardless... and even if they only had knives, they'd just cut people into pieces slowly.

The car is in a right turn only lane - the bus didn't have to yield at all - however there aren't clear lane markings. Also the bus was only going 15 mph. Very clearly a moving violation.

Even if it was a parking lane like others have suggested (which its also illegal to be parked so close to an intersection) - the person parked has to yield to moving traffic.

Nothing beats good old wood. We should make everything out of it: parking lots, curbs, roads ... plank roads are awesome.
