Millions of Games
duncangough writes "With the recent rise in popularity of casual games and the seemingly established presence of community bookmarking sites such as del.icio.us, Millionsofgames.com is one of the first websites to provide an amalgamation of these two themes.
MOG is a social bookmarking service for flash, shockwave and java games although any type of game can be added, such a MMORPGs or downloadable games like Zuma and Bejewelled."
Then keep an eye on my homepage:
Millionsofgame - suttree
I'll be posting plenty of games there and tagging them accordingly. Jewel Thief, for starters, is a great little game.
Suttree, a weblog about casual games development
I've been playing http://www.zillions-of-games.com/ for years now :-P
Were that I say, pancakes?
are tetris clones
I can't imagine how anyone could possibly think they need any more games than MAME can provide. :-)
Ignore Alien Orders
Must be a slow news day, those have been around for a while.
ModLife.Net - If it ain't modded, what's the point?
Am I the only one on the planet that does what he can to keep Java, Flash, and Shockwave OFF of his computer? The last thing I want is a big website telling me where I can actually *find* this crap-ola.
I don't respond to AC's.
...in lost productivity!!!
./ readers someone has to come up with:
For
1. The trolling game!! The son-of-a-gun with worst Karma wins a RIP: -1, Troll tombstone!
2. The 'find-the-duplicated-story' memory game!!
3. The First-post shootout!!
Disclosure: I'm stupid
...has just plumetted.
My employer curses you, slashdot.
My work here is dung.
Since when was there more on the Internet then porn and ISO's?!! When did this happen?!!
This is really a pretty good idea for a site and I'd be especially interested to see what ads pop up down the road when they're getting a lot of visitors. I know my nieces and nephews will sit down at a computer and play some bizarre games that I've never seen or heard of before. I'd imagine once they get wind of this site, they'll be on there quite a bit. So who's the target market? Will they market to a younger teen crowd or will they market to adults (with purchasing power)? Either way, it semes like a pretty good way to get a site up with a lot of traffic.

They're all arcade games. Yeah they're a blast, but I can't play them at work. The banging on the keyboard is a dead giveaway - only faster way to summon the boss is with a flare gun.
That's why the little dinky Java strategy and card games are good.
Weaselmancer
rediculous.
the summary links to popcap games autoinstall which are deemed a security threat by various anti-virus programs
if you value your PC (or your job) i would be careful about clicking links to sites which try to automatically install software which is deemed a security/privacy threat , very irresponsible of slashdot to even link to such sites
I guess it's kind of like casual sex. It's best on the desk of your office, during the day, when anyone can walk in on you.

... of plugging random websites, here's my automated art portfolio website.
/. would just post a plug for a website like this. Why not plug games.com or something? Just because it uses social bookmarking doesn't mean they should get a free "ad"... .... I wonder, was it really free, or did MOG pay for it?
I am sad that

How much do I have to pay for advertising my site on slashdot like this?
Sindri Traustason.
Carnyville : You wake at 3am to find a carnival has moved in next door. Find a way to get them to move on before your property value plummets! This point-and-click adventure blew up my bandwidth last month so please be gentle.
Swinger: a weird arcade style game where you swing from dot to dot- like Clockwerkz w/ physics.
Figure Five Frenzy: My favorite math geek game. Play others online to prove yourself nerdy.
Sudoku Shuffle: A sudoku puzzler where you race the clock and other players in real time.

Shut up. Symantec added it to their database intentionally, read:
"Description:
This is Trend Micro's detection for components of the legal adware called PopCap Loader from PopCap Games company. It is a Web plug-in that provides Web update features. "
Is is just me, or is this site sorely lacking a "filter by platform" control. There's no way of telling if a game is for mobile phone, Java, Flash, Windows-only or whatever before you click on it.
That detracts a lot from its usefulness for me.
Be careful. People in masks cannot be trusted.
