You too??! I have noticed over the last year that hotmail 'requires' me to put my password in twice.
whenever I login using firefox (any version) the first login attempt *always* fails.
And I know I input it correctly!
anyone else experience this?
I have to say, the way the world seems to be going, owning your own business is the only thing that will give you financial freedom.
I'm not downplaying clary's post, because if you truly are happy in your current position, I am incredibly happy for you. But if you do yearn for more income, then a business is the only way to provide it.
As for the startup costs for a business, yeah, it can be/is very expensive.
Don't instantly laugh, but have you thought of starting in network marketing... for a comparitably very small startup you can start learning and building a business that should eventually provide some passive income.
I work in the IT support department for a large company in Australia to pay the bills during the day. The job is great, but I ultimately want more income than a job can provide. And seeing as I am in a similar position regarding funds for startup, I have chosen to go down this road. In the evening I work to build my dreams and wealth.
How about some foreign films? they quite often have more engaging storylines and characters than Hollywood schmultz... Or even indie films? Some the most enjoyable films I have viewed are quirky independants that really have brought something new or different to the audience.
Hey, here in Australia, It's not really our place or even possible for us to write to U.S. Senators and Congress people about the state of the law in your country! I completely disagree with what the RIAA is doing, but somehow I think that the members of parliament here will quite happily ignore the state of the 'states, and won't get involved, even if everyone here wrote them about the issue!
At least I'm not - they only went after a few colleges in their first round attack, the RIAA were bound to go for more if the first few were "successful".
That may be true of dictatorships, However voting here in Australia, a strong Ally to the US of A, is also Mandatory.
We have just (Last weekend in fact) had a State election in Queensland. Every single Queenslander Must vote in the election or face fines a fine of $75AUD. if you don't pay that, the amount goes up because the Government chases you for the fine and then charges you for the cost of chasing you.
This is the same system used in Federal elections in Australia also. we have 18-20 million population.
Even in this system the people who don't care exercise their right by casting informal or 'donkey' votes that are not counted, thereby negating your question.
If the system is set properly the people who don't care actually don't get their say, even if they have 'technically' voted.
Oh and btw, the proportion of informal votes is very small.
Here in Australia the two PS3 levels are currently being advertised for $830AUD and $999AUD! I honestly cannot see how people can fork out so much for a console!
Time will tell i guess... mind you, i have noticed the advertisements have dropped off substantially since the delay to release here was announced...
http://digg.com/gaming_news/PS3_to_be_$830_$999_in _Australia_at_launch is a discussion on the Aussie pricing if anyone is interested.

There really is a world outside the MPAA...
I can imagine the looks on the nurses faces in the emergency room now... Oww My Sperm!
I actually meant your definition of the word - not the reference to the USA in particular.
You described Pandemic. Epidemic is the correct term.
Are we a little touchy on the subject?
I believe you are getting epidemic confused with pandemic.
Touche! thanks for the insight.
the semicolon placement seems to be fine to me. It is connecting two ideas that are partially, but not completley, related.
Somebody Mod this parent Up - it's really quite insightful!
In true /. form, I had not read the Poster's Name, just what they had typed. Thanks Leto-II.

Wow AC! If you are honestly for real, I don't envy you at all.
