...Ford, Chrysler, and GM since they're obviously using closed standards and preventing their customers from being able to use competitor's parts... Seriously, let Microsoft do their thing. When the competitors start doing a better job then we'll see them around more... for the time being, I'll stick to Gentoo.

Some people care about parts of our government. CSPAN doesn't get watched because you have to watch all the parts you don't care about just to get to the parts you do care about. At least now, I can search the videos for the stuff I care about. Like legalizing retroactive abortion...

  3. Re:You mean on Microsoft Rumored To Lay Off Thousands Worldwide · · Score: 4, Insightful

People are judged by perception. It's the responsibility of everyone to control the perception of themselves. Perception is reality. As a manager, I don't have the time to invest in the people who aren't willing to carry their weight. If it's an identifiable problem with the company or management that's causing a performance loss, then the employee probably should either say something about it or move on.

Why should the phone company be responsible for their customer's incompetence? If they installed it... maybe... but they didn't. Now, as far as a compassion standpoint... the company should at least help out some.

Immediate productivity would, but it'll be offset by the efficiency that comes with tenure. Tenure rises when your organization does things that make the people feel good about working there. I'd go with one or two consoles and a good TV. This'll promote social interaction, which developers need, and could enhance their abilities to work with each other. Measure in well defined results not productivity and the consoles won't be an issue. Oh and... I'm too legit, too legit to quit.

In Texas, which probably has the most strict DUI laws, they can take you to jail hold you for a certain amount of time, but they can't take blood unless you were involved in an accident. That being said, I think Texas is the only state with drive through margarita stands and beer barns.

What disturbs me about that is that retards are reading it for it literal and not for what he meant. When a good computer security expert secures a machine up, they think of ways people can break into the machine. "Hackers are always trying to find a way into my machine, and so am I". He didn't fuck it up, he meant it. It's just that retards can't understand the concept.

You'd need two diodes to make pulsed(half-wave) DC and four diodes to make DC(full wave). I don't think this is what they're doing. They're making *propulsion* with a diode by feeding it AC, not trying to make DC.
