"LINEAR: 1. relating to a straight line or capable of being represented by a straight line
2. developed sequentially from the obvious without in-depth understanding"
All these games metioned for awards are not linear. Even though I hate zelda at least I can point out some good thing about the game.
Gears of War, Oblivion and Okami deserve to have awards. Not to be a troll or anything but zelda shouldn't get awards. Let me explain. Graphics wise, it doesn't set any new standards. Even the controls are nothing to jump for joy about(Wii sports and Raymond have better controls). The storyline is the same ol thing (get hookshot....get bow...). The new experience besides being able to use the wiimote is to change into a wolf. The muddy textures and horrible music pissed me off. Just because this franchise has been with us since we were young it doesn't mean we should write off the inaccuracies within the games. Sorry nintendo fans.
Ive posted some bias comments about the Nintendo Wii on Slashdot and Joystiq. Heres my chance to redeem myself. When a new technology comes out there is one thing that will help it stay and its called "Mass Appeal". The new technology has to find a way to reach the masses and be the next long lasting technological trend (such as vhs,dvd,mp3,joysticks).
The Wii comes off to the general public as a family party game or something to help them exercise. Hardcore gamers are very different from the casual gamer. Casual gamers tend to not have the type of loyalty as the hardcore. When something new comes out people tend to jump on the hype train. Once that cool feeling wears off the casual gamer looks for something new to fulfill that high. The Wii will have a hard time staying on top once the casual gamer gets tired of the same old party games. It all depends on how long that hype lasts.
It seems that nobody gives a damn about the future. We are so insatiable that is doesn't matter if we destroy everything in our path as long as we find pride within our selfish perspectives.
If there was oil on Mars. The Bush Admin would have already set up shop there using the excuse that alien beings need democracy too. God Bless Amer...err Mars??????
In millions of years when the waters cover our precious land, we will be forced to evolve back into the oceans from which all life started. We will not be on top of the food chain anymore. There will be swift cunning predators that arise from the depths to pick us off with simplicity. They will laugh in our face as we try to out smart them with our low mental capacity. All the Homo sapiens will become extinct excluding the ones that branch off and evolved to best suit the enviroment. We will become shawdows in sea as we watch octopus-like creatures evolve to become smarter than we could ever imagine.
I guess this is the American Way? Sue, sue & sue, its quite annoying. The only reason why they are doing this is because they know MS has loads of cash.
The Wii is a supercharged gamecube with a faster CPU & GPU using last gen architecture. Even if they sold the Wii at $200 they would still make profit. Greedy!
P.S: I'm still buying one!
Now that I think about it, I use to get more excited about consoles and games before I got online and started posting. Being online is addictive yet it ruins the hype because of all the negative comments about each system. Everybody that post on these sites are hardcore gamers(Even if you don't play games 24/7). We take the time out of our day to debate about the success and failure of video games. We all have a passion. It really don't matter what system wins because we will be back the next day. So we all are fanboy's of video games. We make up about 10% or less of the consumers buying these consoles when they come out. The other 90% buy the consoles with the lack of knowledge and because of the design, cost, games and its what their friends have. My uncle has a PS2 & GC and I could never convince him to buy a Xbox because of his stubborn ignorances. I try to tell him about how the PS3 is having major problems with a high price tag and to buy a 360 this generation yet he doesn't care because of the BRAND NAME SONY. Alot of people are the same way.
So now they are using video games to ge through to non-voters? Whats next? Oh I know, they will move on to music and movies. So in between tracks 6 & 7 and 11 & 12 will have subliminal messages about political candidates.
Before election *I love games*
After election *Screw games*
George Lucas is pimping out Star Wars like it was a grade A hooker from the 1950's in New Orleans. 10 year ago: "I love Star Wars". Present Day: "Star Wars is OK". 2 years from today and 20 re-releases later: "F*** George Lucas".
Children are being raised by the media these days. Everyday life is more businesslike with both parents having jobs and not having time to raise their children. People have no since of personal responsibility anymore. Younger people are now exposed to complex forms of technology that stimulate more parts of their brain. Also kids are becomming incredibly smart at a younger age because of the advancement of technology. Evolution is slowly playing out.
With the advancing of technology in the world, kids are exposed to more complex situations/activities at a younger age. Also learning about corruption and violence is apart of growing up and maturing, So being exposed to more violence and corruption at a younger age will cause children to be less innocent and mature faster.
In thousands of years we will have computers capable of simulating life as we know it. The supercomputers that we have today are able to do complex simulations with stars and evolution. Its not going to be to long before they can simulate extremely real AI with their own thoughts, pain and consciousness. The universe and life as we know it might be a advanced version of the game "The Sims" from the future! We think that we are real, but are we?
I believe that black holes are entrances to a another void/universe. When a star collapses on itself it creates a tear/openning in our universe, which in term is called a black hole. This openning acts as a vacuum pulling in light and matter. (Like when you poke a small hole in a water balloon. The pressure on the inside is less than the pressure on the outside so the balloon leaks). Could mean that our universe is inside of a larger universe and so on? Black holes recycle all matter in the universe and are able to compress protons, neutrons and electrons into a state of singularity. So once the black hole has acumulated enough matter, the energy becomes greater than the mass and quantum fluctuations start. This is when the Big Bang occures and new stars are born then die and create black holes to repeate this cycle.
There are to many theories running through my head! Tell me what you think.
Black holes do not created or destroyed matter. It forces it into a different state. Like when ice melts or water boils. This can be considered a cycle.
Theory: a set of facts, propositions, or principles analyzed in their relation to one another and used, especially in science, to explain phenomena. It is very probable based on the current study with black holes. Reply to this. Could it be possible that black holes help recycle the matter in the universe? If the Big Bang Theory is true and our universe started from a singularity then it is possible that when black holes suck in and compress matter/light that it could cause a singularity inside of itself.
If black holes are taking in matter then something must be throwing it out(White holes). If there is only a exit then pretty soon all the matter in our universe will be ate up by the black holes and all that will be left is nothingness. There has to be a cycle somewhere. Everything in this universe has a beginning and a end. "So my opinion is that the universe uses black holes to recycle matter and pull it back into one singularity in which another big bang occures".
It could be possible. Advancement and evolution is inevitable. Curiosity didn't just kill the cat. Think about the first animals to discover a fruit was poisonous. They died or got really sick. Advancement and evolution takes risks. If we never took risks we would still be cavemen.
Knowing the government and their previous actions on subjects like this I think they have already experimented with the mini black holes. Most scientific information that would give the general public a stir is withheld for many years until the people are ready.
I believe that black holes are not time traveling devices, but more of a door to a new universe. Black holes suck in anything and everything, including light. Our universe started from a Singularity in which matter was infinitely compressed and space and time was infinitely distorted. Black holes compress and distort matter and time. Put two and two together and what do you have? The birth of our universe. I believe our universe was born inside of a black hole and that we are currently living and evolving inside of it. Thus means every black hole we see out in space possibly is a gateway to another universe.
Tell me what you think?
I know that a good credit score shows responsibility, but should it affect a job? No! Its just another way to keep the poor, poor and the rich, rich. All people make mistakes when it comes to credit and they shouldn't be punished by not being able to get a good job. If someone wants to turn their life around and pay off debt, credit should not affect job qualification.

Does it upscale graphics to HD? This is equivalent to putting a new high performance computer chip in a Geo Metro with a stock engine & transmission.
Let me rephrase...."present day elephants that are from texas".

A black hole is created when a star cannot sustain its own gravitional weight and collapses on itself.
