Since I use Litestep, all I really have to do is reinstall and update it, copy/paste my personal folder with my current settings and theme, then update a couple windows things like appearance preferences, wallpaper, and folder settings like showing hidden files/folders. That's pretty much it for me.
The difference in price grows as the quality of the components increases. For the "hardcore" builders who are either heavy into gaming or overclocking, there is no way they're gonna shell out the extra cash for an Alienware. Those of you who need a computer just to check email, surf the net and use MS Office can have your warranties for components that will never be stressed and will likely never fail. I've never had a major component fail in any of the 6 systems I've built over the years. In fact the only part that's failed for me was a fan controller. I learned to live without it after the brand new one they sent me after RMAing failed as well.
I liked how you got stuck in jail in Fable and stayed longer if you failed getting the key to get out. It made you a bit more pissed off and ready to kick Jack's ass.:)
I hope this is more or less the next Jedi Knight game. (Though I guess they'll have to call it Sith Knight, or Apprentice). It's been far too long since I was able to run around and slaughter things with the Force and my Lightsaber(s). Don't get me wrong, the KOTOR games were great, but not as visceral as the Jedi Knight series.
Tell me something I don't know. I was born in and (sadly) still reside in Rochester, I know the history. (I'm leaving after I finish my associate's degree.) Do you actually LIVE in Rochester? I do, and it fucking sucks. I hate this city. I wasn't bemoaning the lack of great companies or general history. I'm talking about the city itself. It sucks and it's dying. Young people are leaving in droves. Downtown is almost dead compared to how it was 30 years ago. The city schools are shit. The per capita murder rate in Rochester was highest in the state in 2005, and second in 2006. And let's not forget the wonderful weather.
Anyways, it's a completely subjective matter, so keep your history lessons to yourself, "jackass."
I was just gonna do a big all caps thing about how there should be no women talked about on the site, we must all conform to the geek stereotype with no girlfriend, nice and sarcastic, etc, then stupid-ass slashdot gave me this: Lameness filter encountered. Post aborted!
Someone needs to recode those lameness filters to account for sarcasm.:P Fuck you and your stupid rules, slashdot.
Despite being stuck in a shit town called Rochester, NY, U of R does some awesome research. The local paper had an article a month or so back about a video game study they did and how they evoke the same emotional reactions that other things in life do, or something. (Duh, any gamer coulda told you that.) Anyways, it seems we gamers have a friend in the U of R. Two positive research studies for video games, whoo hoo!
Luckily, as far as I've seen, the judges have realized in every case so far that this is 1st amendment territory and the cases haven't been won. I doubt a "better" lawyer would affect the outcomes of future cases.
I hate to veer off topic, but you can't seriously blame McDonald's for its customers getting fat, can you? They know what they're eating is pure shit. Same thing with cigarette companies.
We crazy evolutionists' morals wouldn't be so bad if those creationists would stop driving us mad by constantly questioning them!

Hilary will never get my vote. She shouldn't be in office in the first place. I hope Obama stays in the race. I've always been skeptical of Democrats on this issue, but I have no faith in the Republicans to stick to their supposedly traditional ideals. They're all about wasting your tax money and spying on you nowadays.
(And yeah, I know carpetbaggers were northerners who went south. Same idea applies, though.)
I was waiting for the part where the judge got replaced because it's a waste of taxpayers' dollars to get that moron up to speed, but it never came.
Old habits die hard, huh?

5 pounds of shit does not need to be put into a 20 pound bag. (I know they like ad revenue, but geez...)

I'm not getting one until I absolutely have to. In the meantime, I'll be enjoying some road trips.

We should just start off at max level and go through the same quests with no challenge?
I'm happy to say you're wrong about that, even if I am the only one who doesn't play WoW.

I thought it was because multiplayer games are all the same now and the people who play them are assholes.
Puke green and black. The new wave in cell phone decoration.
Spying on our kids isn't going to be about protecting them from themselves in the future, it's going to be about protecting them from "the law."
The future presents a much scarier situation for parents than it ever has, if you ask me.
That's exactly how I feel.
This is a perfect example of why I don't play games online anymore. Too many assholes and cheats.
I'm not the least bit surprised a Marine was behind all this. Marines have forever been doing more with less resources.
