Not sure I like having to go to each app's website. Id like the app store concept, so it can at least validate that the program runs and doesn't have anything nasty in it.
At the DB tier, OK fine, what about the Application tier? There are many enerprise applications that can really benefit from having 8 core chips that can do 8 threads/core. There is some level of efficiency in being able to push 256 threads in a 4U chassis.
Since iTunes went DRM-free a few months back, all the music they sell now can be put on other players. They are not obligated to provide software to sync other manufacturer's devices.
Solaris needs to exist to support the Sun SPARC64 and UltraSPARC T2+ processors, the latter of which is a multithreading whiz. It is used extensively where I work, and I hope they keep making it, as 128 simultaneous hardware threads in a 1U can be some powerful stuff when programmed for appropriately.
They can redirect me to a better cable company where I can get more HD channels, and where I don't have to go through (literally) 8 DVR's to get one that doesn't die.
Seriously, I went through a period where my DVR would crash and go into a reboot loop every 3 weeks and someone would have to come and replace it. that went on for almost 3 months
*sigh*
Sadly I'm stuck since I am surrounded by 5 story trees (no dish) and fios will not offer anything on my street ( technically a private road)
I have a Atari 2600 still actively in use to play Kaboom with the old paddles
I also have a bunch of old Apple kit that still works, such as
Apple IIe 1983
LASER 128(Clone) 1984
Mac SE 1987
Quadra 630 1994
Centris 660AV 1994
Powerbook Duo 280c 1994
Powerbook 540c 1994
Newton 1995
All this before the age of 30. Im gonna be drowning in stuff by 40. My wife says I should get rid of some of the old stuff. Ol' dusty and ol' obsoletey as my wife calls them.
Naaaaaaaaaah
It has plenty of relevance, in that a good portion of people who read this site have to fly for work, 2-5 times monthly.
Admittedly, I wouldn't pay 250 for this bag, but its worth having something decent if you are in the airport for 15 20 hours monthly
for me one of these works fine
and get one of these

These bags are great, and you could buy 2 of them for the price of the one in the review and have 50 bucks left over.
and he might make the best president ever, but I'm a stickler for following the rules to the letter, and I am not one of those liberal 'the end justifies the means' types.
So let me guess, you're a compliance officer at your job?

Free Turn by turn GPS with voice that uses google maps did it for me
Maybe you need to get a better paying job?
Agreed, right now it is about 12-20k for one of the 1U servers, but even those are pushing 64 threads+

I tried linux in my gas tank and dog shit on my computer, with mixed results
I fail to see how one type of game makes you less fat than the other.
Montezuma's Revenege. The game not the butt problem.
Why should it matter to you if the games DO get made. You don't have to buy them.
Make it easier for users to upload their own songs.
You mean like this?

Big difference between running and optimized though.
the 90's.....that was, like, 10 years ago. Take a look at most OS's 10 years ago and see how much difference there is.

not to support one argument or another, but with a student base THAT big, sampling should be more relevant.
Programmers have some pretty gnarly beards.

What is the significance of May 2009?
You got it all backwards, he is in the back of the group tapping the customers phone.....yeah.....phone
