It is the Wealth individuals and corporations, and at times Governments who use new espensive technology when it first comes out and then as the technology cathces on and gets cheaper and smaller and/or corporations will begin to use it making it cheaper.
for example cell phones used to be so expensive only Millionaires could use them and only in major cities. Also they were so large you carried them in a bag. Now they are so small you wwear them on your hip and the contracts make them competative with a land line phone.
Actually Le Tourneau Corp has a facility in Longview, Texas (Where I used to live) that produces a huge Dumptruck which has a deisel engine powering a generator that runs the truck all on electricirty. That company has been using electrical type set ups for years. (My mom's Husband deals in construction equipment. hey when your in your 30's and your mom gets married it is her husband) So Hybrid by 2020 may not be off the mark. By then they could have all of the bugs out. Remember the Hybrid is good in the city, but on the open road the battery is just a giant paper weight.

I agree such a law would be stupid and could be abused by people who want more hits. Think of another law (Not net related) that has been abused, the Americans with Disablities Act. That law was so badly written that if you show up to work drunk they can't fire you. Something similar upon the stupidity scale would happen if thuis law was passed.

She could have been a victim of a Serial kilelr, or a random act of violence. The groceries left in the car do look suspicious but does not mean he did it, unless they have evidence to the contrary.Then again they have arrested people without any evidence and just on "HEe is the EX it must be him".
I wish on the Star Trek movies they could get away from the Federation and do a Klingon Movie about the Klingons, all in Klingon. But I don;t think that would fly. I did have one friend who wants it to be the Pirates of Pinzance in Klingon. Now that would never fly. It would be interesting though. K-Mart is a prime example of a company that did not change with the times. Also think of all of the companies that were large National and International companies that are now gone.
