I've smoked marijuana before. Can't say I liked it all that much, or that I think it was very addictive. It certainly never turned me into a dangerous asshole like alcohol does with a lot of people. I do have a problem with nicotine and caffeine though. They don't turn me into a dangerous asshole either. An extremely strong argument can be made that alcohol and nicotine are both far more dangerous than marijuana. They are legal, while marijuana is not only illegal, it is a schedule 1 drug but has demonstrable medical value and is blatantly safer than alcohol. Whatever society gains by preventing a certain number of people from turning into potheads, it loses by transforming otherwise productive members of the community into criminals, militarizes the police, and puts a large financial burden on the tax payers to imprison and capture users. It's stupid, pot is not worth all the effort.
Musk is just pimping the fantasy that this is a bold and perilous endeavor that only those who dare to be remembered as heroes will join.
He doesn't have to, frontiers do this all by themselves. Humans are wired for wanderlust. Some more than others--some climb mountains and some sit at a computer all day arm-chair-quarterbacking every human endeavor to make sure everyone is nice and nannied.

The division is deliberate. Politicians and the rich actively conspire to maintain the left/right division. While the plebs bicker about social issues, the elite are free to control the money.
Different ballgames altogether. Teens don't call in for refunds on their internet because they don't pay for it. They do however pay for the games they play.
Teenagers whine about getting their money back more frequently than they masturbate. If the server goes down for a few hours, money back. If their character dies, money back. If someone griefs them, money back. If Joe has green armor and John can't get some too, money back. If they're bored with playing this game after a month, money back. I'm not even joking here. If you've ever frequented any MMO forum all the way back to Ultima Online (literally just pick any MMO) they're loaded with these kids whining about refunds.
I don't understand comments like this. I get 20 Mbps which isn't even the fastest DSL service in my area and it seems plenty fast. High Def streaming...installing several gigabyte programs quickly, etc...it's quite fast, and it's been down once for a couple hours in the last 1 1/2 years. It's just as good if not better than comcast and I don't have to deal with comcast.

I don't know, it's not that surprising. They were working toward an SSTO launch vehicle at the time. A landable rocket wasn't really needed.

Except that in this instance, waiting for reviews would have prevented paying $60 (or whatever it was) for a bad game.
