Final Fantasy introduces a totally new cast, setting and theme with each sequel and continues to please fans.
That doesn't count as change... the games are still mostly the same from one to the next, with some small battle engine adjustments. I'm not saying that it's a bad thing, but I am saying that this guy picked one of the worst possible examples.
As for how this applies to Zelda... I play Zelda games because of two things. First, confidence in the developers. The only Zelda game I've disliked was Twilight Princess (please, no flaming; I'm not saying it's a bad game, I just didn't like it), and I've played most of the games in the series (CD-i doesn't count and I haven't gotten around to Minish Cap or Four Swords). Second, because I like the games as they are. I'm willing to give change a chance, but I don't think that very much change is needed.
Someone tried justifying it before, saying that if it's something that comes up in numerous other related discussions, it's redundant even in the first post.
Personally, I thought it was a load of shit, but there's your explanation.
And he's been without his nap, apparently. Ah well, at least he probably won't have show-and-tell tomorrow; back when I was 5, I only had to deal with that on Friday, and I don't expect that to be changed now...
I work in a grocery store. In this job, I don't have smart coworkers, I just have some that are less stupid than others. This also applies to some of the managers and a few of the supervisors as well.
And saying retail doesn't have a monopoly on stupid people does not mean that retail has less stupid people, it just means that there's more stupid people than we thought.
This isn't the first article we've seen about this, though perhaps the first about Russia. It won't be the last, either; people seek to control what they do not - or perhaps cannot - understand. It's an unfortunate fact of life: ignorance breeds fear.
While I could joke and say "but then I'd have nothing to complain about!", it's actually not that simple, and I know you know why - people driving down the road playing it so loud you can (and I say this without exaggeration) hear it from fifty feet away inside a vehicle with the windows closed. Even if I don't want to listen to it (and trust me, I don't), I'm still frequently subjected to it.
Ok, perhaps I shouldn't waste my time, but some of us atheists don't waste our time arguing with religious people, and we would appreciate not being stereotyped.
The atheists that you are complaining about sound very much like the Christian fanatics that I occasionally complain about - the difference being that I know not all Christians are that way, while you don't appear to acknowledge this about atheists.
I begin seeing where the term "feminazi" comes from...
I'm going to try to be as neutral as possible here, which leads me to say you're being an idiot. This is operating purely under the assumption that all of this is over a fucking joke, which as far as I can tell it is (if it isn't, see below paragraph). Anyone looking at how you're acting over a joke is likely either laughing their asses off or shaking their head, saddened by the current state of humanity.
Now, if it isn't a joke... you're still overreacting. What ever happened to being the better person? I'd have plenty more to say if the initial remark was serious, and I'd even partially be on your side, but I'm pretty sure that it was a joke (though perhaps devoid of humor) that started all this bullshit.
One final note: I honestly think the "didn't do it herself" would come whether it was a guy or a girl. Maybe that's just me, though.
Oh, and before you accuse me of being "another woman-hater" or whatever crappy insult you come up with, I'm an equal-opportunity asshole - if I have something to say, I don't care if you're male, female, both, or neither, I'm gonna say it.
Ok, I've been wrong before, but I think he was being sarcastic...

I'd like to believe you, but I can't. Probably comes from being surrounded by the type of idiot that'd say that sort of thing seriously.
To all who would post anonymously, I offer wonderful gems like the above as reason that so many people ignore ACs.
Baseless accusations and false patriotism... any other laughable BS you want to throw in?
Well, two possible explanations.
A: Lamers need something to bitch about so people pay attention to them.
B: They're incapable of enjoying anything on their own, so they feel the need to drag others down with them.
Anyone else got some more explanations to contribute?
Perhaps you should explain to him what Tallinn is before he tries ordering one at a restaurant.

But if they do that, they can't screw people as easily. So then they'll need to find legitimate, non-customer-screwing ways to make money.
Apparently, that's more work than getting these lasws passed. Something seems horribly wrong there.
If you dislike people who post on Slashdot so much, does that mean you hate yourself?
So that's where all those holes in the bags of french fries came from!
No sense of humor and a halfassed troll.
Yup, you're an AC.

if you don't like it don't listen to it.

So, you still think it's that simple?
It's not whether or not they exist for a reason that I question.
It's whether or not they exist for a good reason.
Damned spamming retards.
So you laugh at the majority of Islamic countries. Interesting... let's see how that's gonna work out for you.
As long as you keep a safe distance, it works out fine.
And you even get to punch people virtually in the face yourself, instead of just pushing a button to do so!
No, "politician" means "moron", but "moron" doesn't always mean "politician".
It's like the Square/Rectangle thing.
I think I should've picked my wording better. I want an edit link :(

We can't deal with multiple windows at once?
You mean like how, on Windows XP, I have five windows open at once, one of which being Firefox with four tabs?
I guess you're right, PC users can't deal with multiple windows.
I don't see how...
