As an IT worker in the financial services industry and attempting to bring Apple in house, it is clear that Apple has no desire to be in the corporate market. They flat out refused to sign an NDA (a contractual requirement in my organization when starting a relationship with an outside vendor) so the conversations ended there - we were just trying to set up corporate purchasing for iPads (don't even get me started on how much of a pain these things are to support) - even being managed by a MDM solution leaves the device in a state that does not fully meet our security and data loss prevention requirements (no AV support, no DLP support, end-user can completely disable our controls). To get around Apple's limitations, we've had to enable full time VPN on demand which naturally drains the battery at an accelerated rate and impacts overall performance of the device. I can only hope that this will lower the demand for the iPads, but sadly the demand has been going up because it's hip/cool to bring it to your meetings (ie: trendy).

The sprint airave is configurable to either allow all sprint customers to use it, or it can be configured to only allow specific phone numbers (configurable up to 3 unique sprint phone numbers). It should also be noted that the airave does not yet provide EVDO data access. If you have a weak EVDO signal from a tower, your device will always prefer that data connection over the 1xRTT that the airave can provide. The only true way to have data access over your handheld to the airave would be a complete absence of an EVDO signal. This may not be much of a deal if you 1) don't use much data and 2) are in your own home with access to a PC.

IANAL (but I am dating one) and this is the response I got from her on the matter:

"Every state has a grievance board that deals with things like unethical conduct. There is one case here involving a grievance against our client (another lawyer) for overly aggressive litigation techniques specifically the service of a subpoena on children, which is not illegal, but their parents felt it was improper and intimidating. Attorneys have to have professional liability insurance as well to protect against claims of malpractice, which could be attributed to "incompetence" or willful misconduct. I know that when I worked in NYC, there was an attorney we knew who was sanctioned (and possibly disbarred) for improperly managing his escrow account. I obviously know no case law on this, but my impression is that once the judge on the new case becomes aware of the Plaintiff's lack of following proper procedure, the case will be thrown out. As far as punishing the attorneys, I am not sure if the court system would take any action other than the dismissal of the case, but certainly if the RIAA feels that its attorneys were behaving incompetently, they could sue for malpractice. My guess is that this was intentional and that the RIAA is on board, though. And a grievance can come from anyone, not just the court or another attorney. And if a grievance was filed the board would have to determine that the RIAA's counsel knowingly ignored procedure."

Psychological dependency may be cured via selective memory loss because the mind has become emotionally attached to the effects (of pleasure, pain relief, etc). A lack of the drug for psychological dependency simply triggers cravings. Forgetting about those effects would, in theory, cure that type of psychological dependency and prevent the cravings.
