..but if the California's legislatures spent as much time trying to find a way out of their financial crisis as they do coming up with asinine bills like this, they just *might* come out with a budget surplus some day..
Good...it's high time somebody smack them around in court for their bullshit data service. Although the connection to the tower is fine, it's slow as balls from the tower out. I mean christ, I experience lag when typing via an ssh session, something I haven't experienced since the dark ages of dialup.
Anand rocks. This article is very informative and easy to read, not to mention unbiased. Anand is known for his lack of personal bias in his reviews. Highly recommend you give it a good read.
DO NOT continue banking online, and call them to let them know of the problem. Continue banking over the phone or in person (I know..it's a pain in the ass compared to doing it online, but it's nothing compared to having to deal with identity theft).
ffmpeg is a godsend to the FOSS community. Great work to the ffmpeg developers and I know I speak for a lot of people when I say that I'm looking forward to the fruits of their hard work.
Principal Skinner:All students please proceed immediately to an assembly in the Butthead Memorial Auditorium. Principal Skinner (to himself):Dammit, I wish we hadn't let the students name that one.
Why botther at all? Better go straight to x64, I mean, even the lowliest of nvidia GPUs is already 64 bits, why bother with 32 bits technology?
They day an embedded system's CPU needs to address more than 4 gigs of memory (which is essentially why you would shift from a 32-bit to 64-bit CPU) is the day my shit turns purple and smells like rainbow sherbet.
Nvidia develops a very basic x86 CPU thats tightly coupled to one of their embedded GPUs that doesn't implement any x86 technology that's still currently patent-protected. The basic x86 CPU acts as a shim for software that expects to talk to an x86 CPU and offloads as much as possible to the significantly more advanced GPU running the bulk of the load. The end result? An x86-compatible embedded system that vastly outperforms anything currently on the market that doesn't violate anyone's active x86 patents.
So you mean to say all those fine women I took out on dates from craigslist were hookers! I guess that would explain the black eye and lack of memory the next morning after I refused to let her "borrow" some money.
DJB writes good stable software but I get the impression he is not a good listener.
Agreed. I have issues with his 'fuck what the rest of the community does, it's my way or the high way' mentality. One of the reasons I opted for MaraDNS instead of djbdns at one of our smaller sites.
This app might not stay on the store, but it sure won't go away.
Cydia ftw ;)

All patches for id software games can be found on their anonymous ftp server: ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com
Getting a decent download rate, however, is another story.
Sweet..just the segway I needed for a tasteless French joke
How many gears does a french tank have?
5...one for forward, 4 for reverse.
Hooray for blackmail!
I prefer extortion. The X makes it sound cool.
In Nazi Germany, games play you!
All sys admins I know (including myself) wouldn't even consider it. RedHat all the way.

Management on the other hand...
How is this Apple's fault then, unless you count the fact that you can get iPhones in their Apple stores?
It's not Apple's fault technically, but I could see them getting the blame for false advertising.

lolz. You obviously don't work in the software field. If I pulled something like that on a regular basis, I probably wouldn't have a job to speak of.
i hope they do, and AMD start producing cheap reliable PowerPC chips so we can all move over to a decent platform.
Right...so instead of having Intel's patents to worry about, they'd have Apple, IBM, and Motorola's patents to worry about...
The ability to use a bluetooth keyboard. Would make having to sysadmin some shit while on a camping trip much easier.
..at least they're being honest about not being entirely honest..
That'll teach those terrorists to travel with their terrorist tote-bags!

Just because it's on paper and signed, doesn't mean it's necessarily enforcible in court.
There, fixed that for me
